If you are a beginner wanting to practice conversation, we will use an online textbook to start from the basics. I recommend this lesson for people who want to learn the standard dialect in Japan (標準語ひょうじゅんご hyojungo), In addition, I will help with hiragana and katakana practice.
If you have been studying Japanese already or have some Japanese background, we can start at your desired level and practice conversation, writing and more!
If you have a preferred learning style, we will work based on that and use outside materials such as music, anime, or literature.

My name is Amy. I am a Japanese/Canadian, born and raised in Japan. I grew up in a very rural area in Ibaraki prefecture which is 2 hours from Tokyo. I currently live in Spain to study Spanish.
My lessons will be based on Japanese conversation. In addition, we will practice pronunciation, writing, reading and Kanji, depending on your interest.
I enjoy teaching, especially when students are interested in the culture and history of Japanese. I am a native Japanese speaker who grew up in Japan most of my life, so I can answer some questions you may have about Japan in general. I enjoy customizing lessons for students with supplemental material such as anime, manga, literature, or music. I believe that students learn best when they use materials they are interested in so I want to help them grow by using a lot of outside materials.

I was born and raised in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
Now I have been living in Alicante for 7 years so I can teach in Spanish if you prefer.
I am qualified as a Japanese teacher and I have 7 years of experience abroad for all ages (3 to 65 years old) and all levels (until N2).
