Becoming a strong confident reader can benefit all subjects for students at school and general proficiency for adults at work. In order to optimize the benefits of reading, it is important that your children read with someone who can interact with them to engage them in their reading material. An overarching goal of this reading club is to foster good reading habit and joy of reading. We will also focus on building vocabulary, phonetic rules, pronunciation and comprehension. Each reading club session will have a minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 4. This would be an ideal offer especially for parents who need support in reading daily with their children.

I've worked professionally as an elementary school teacher for 11 years and tutored privately for over 20 years. Although I enjoy and specialize in teaching foundational beginning level reading, I am happy to and proficient in working with intermediate readers as well. My focus will be on improving knowledge of phonetic rules, pronunciation, building vocabulary and comprehension. We will also work on conversational English through engaging discussion of reading materials.
