Lesson plan: leaning to read music, developing and furthering knowledge of music theory, playing a wide range of piano repertoire according to the personal preferences and tastes of each individual students. Emphasis is on enjoying the process of learning a new instrument, learning to play your favourite pieces and support the personal goals of each student.
Composition lessons for children (age 6 to 14)
Duration: 30-45 min.
Lesson schedule: 1x per week
Lesson plan: learning to express musical ideas through graphic notation and improvisation, leaning to notice and deeply listen to the everyday sounds around us and create new sonic ideas through drawing, writing and improvising.
Prior knowledge: no musical knowledge needed
Composition lessons for children from the age of 14 and adults
Duration: 60 min
Lesson schedule: 1x per week
Lesson plan: learning and mastering various tools to give the student the necessary tools to express their musical ideas, listening and analysing a wide variety of musical repertoire to broaden the knowledge and understanding of existing and possible musical aesthetics and existing approaches, developing knowledge of music theory and harmony, help with notation-related questions
Prior knowledge: ability to read music and ideally to play an instrument (not mandatory but strongly advised)
Composition lessons for advanced students
Duration 60-90 min.
Lesson schedule: 1x per week
Lesson plan: helping the student advance their knowledge and craft, listening and analysing a wide variety of musical repertoire to broaden the knowledge and understanding of existing and possible musical aesthetics and existing approaches, helping and giving advice with musical instrumentation, helping with notation-related questions
Prior knowledge: ability to read music, understanding of basic music theory, experience of composing music
