-Past participle followed by an infinitive: Analysis of the subject of the action represented by the infinitive (e.g. the actors that I heard perform vs the play that I heard performed).
Special cases and invariability:

Past participles preceded by the pronoun "en" or by neuter pronouns.
Verbs of measurement, weight and price (literal vs figurative meaning).
