I am specialized (>5 years of experience) in tutoring math for school (any level, but preferably higher level), including competitive exams such as the SAT, GRE, GMAT, and the IIT-JEE.

This class is aimed to train
1) high-school students undergoing VWO or an IB curriculum, who are having problems following math at school or university,
2) Anyone who wishes to take the VWO Math-A/B/C entrance examinations by Boswell or CCVX and wants to train for that.

Personally, I am currently working as a Quantitative Researcher of stock markets, and therefore analytical math is also a part of my job.

The classes could be rigorous or lenient depending on the student. There will be periodic homework and I'll make sure that the student achieves her/his desired goals.

Hulp nodig bij wiskunde of wetenschappen? Als burgerlijk ingenieur, 33, help ik je graag verder! Bijleren op jouw tempo en met veel voorbeelden om de leerstof te verduidelijken. Ik heb reeds jaren ervaring in het aanleren van eenvoudige en complexe leerstof.

De lessen verlopen als volgt. Allereerst gaan we samen op zoek naar de grootste struikelblokken van de student. Deze kunnen zowel gerelateerd zijn aan de leerstof als aan de studiemethode. Vanaf daar werk ik verder op het tempo van de student en moedig ik hen aan om zoveel mogelijk vragen te stellen. Ik geef hen ook tips en tricks, en verbeter hun werkwijze waar nodig. Tijdens de les geef ik veel voorbeelden om de leerstof interessanter te maken en lossen we samen oefeningen op. Eens de student de oefeningen uit de les beheerst, geef ik nog enkele uitdagende oefeningen om ook te testen op het diepere begrip van de leerstof. Op die manier probeer ik de student optimaal voor te bereiden op zijn/haar toets of examen.

Leren moet echter ook aangenaam zijn. Daarom streef ik altijd naar een goede band met de student door een spontane en positieve aanpak. Verder ben ik ook heel geduldig. Dit alles verlaagt de drempel om vragen te stellen en verbetert het leerproces van de student.

Wiskunde en wetenschapsvakken kunnen zwaar doorwegen in uw studieloopbaan tijdens het secundair onderwijs. Het is dan ook belangrijk hier goed op te presteren. Voor veel studenten kan dit een challenge zijn, zeker in de derde graad. In mijn les probeer ik leerlingen de leerstof uit te leggen adhv hun eigen cursus, mijn oude cursus en extra oefeningen. Het uiteindelijke doel is dat de studenten een beter inzicht verwerven in hun cursus.

Ik bereid de student voor op het toelatingsexamen voor geneeskunde en/of tandheelkunde. Omdat hier veel werk in kruipt, raad ik aan zowel een vroege als welvoorziene voorbereiding te genieten zodat de slaagkansen voor dit examen optimaal zijn.

De vakken die aan bod komen zijn wiskunde, biologie, chemie en fysica. Ook wordt er gedrillt op de stilleestekst van het namiddagdeel. Er worden ook tips gegeven mbt het afleggen van het examen zelf, de structuur van de vragen en hoe je best begint.

Ben jij een student op de middelbare school of het voortgezet onderwijs en heb je problemen met het begrijpen en oplossen van wiskunde of natuurkunde problemen? Dan ben ik iemand die je daar graag bij zou willen helpen. Ik zie vaak dat in standaard klassikale kort en bondig wordt les gegeven. Hierdoor mist de student zicht op het hele plaatje, waardoor het lesstof en de problemen vaag en onduidelijk zijn. Math, calculus and physics can sometimes be overwhelming, especially when the theory or solving method is unclear. I am a cum laude Aerospace Engineering graduate from TU Delft and have helped other pupils with their problems since 2017. With my calm and stepwise explanation, a second view of the solution procedure is given, which is often what is missing. I tutor a variety of math and physics courses on both secondary and high school levels, but also at a scientific bachelor level. These can either be theory/exercise-based, but also exam preparation.
