A highly experienced Franco-Belgian teacher (ook in het nederlands!) offers private lessons in mathematics (including finance), probability and statistics, as well as physics, chemistry, and biology for secondary and higher education levels. For physics, chemistry, and biology, the instruction is tailored to the secondary level, specifically up to the 5th year of secondary education in Belgium.

Whether you prefer lessons at your place, my place, or remotely, I am flexible to accommodate your needs. If necessary, I can travel to your home in Brussels, Walloon and Flemish Brabant, with a minimum duration of 2 hours per session. The lessons are designed to provide extensive practice with numerous exercises. For statistics and probabilities, I provide instruction in descriptive and inferential statistics (univariate and bivariate), covering confidence intervals and hypothesis tests, applicable to secondary and higher education levels.

During my studies in Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam (graduated in 2015, MSc.) and in addition to my job as a consultant, I have always taught mathematics and statistics to secondary school students and university students (HBO and WO) with great pleasure. Since 2022 I work parttime as a math teacher and educational advisor in the Emma Children's Hospital in Amsterdam and besides I teach private students.

Need help with math and science (physics, chemistry, etc.)? As a 33-year-old civil engineer, I'm happy to help! I'll learn at your own pace, using plenty of examples to illustrate the material. I have years of experience teaching both simple and complex subjects.

The lessons run as follows. First of all, together we look for the student's biggest stumbling blocks. These can be related to the subject matter as well as to the study method. From there, I continue to work at the pace of the student and encourage them to ask as many questions as possible. I also give them tips and tricks, and improve their working methods where necessary. During the lesson I give many examples to make the subject matter more interesting and we solve exercises together. Once the student has mastered the exercises from the lesson, I give some more challenging exercises to also test on the deeper understanding of the subject matter. In this way I try to optimally prepare the student for his / her test or exam.

However, learning should also be enjoyable. That is why I always strive for a good relationship with the student through a spontaneous and positive approach. I am also very patient. All this lowers the barrier to ask questions and improves the student's learning process.

I believe anyone can learn math. And with an average rating of 8.5 for my exam training at, among others, lyceo, I have experienced a lot of others doing the same.

We usually start with some (simple) exercises around the subject to gauge your understanding. This way I can construct a tailor-made approach that guarantees you will see the light. There are, of course, no real guarantees in education. But I can guarantee that after every hour of tutoring, you will be a little closer to the math genius that you really are.

In addition, in the past two years, I have gained a lot of experience in online education. I now have a drawing tablet, an iPad, and an external microphone (worth 300 euros) to be able to deliver the best experience online.

Math, calculus and physics can sometimes be overwhelming, especially when the theory or solving method is unclear. I am a cum laude Aerospace Engineering graduate from TU Delft and have helped other pupils with their problems since 2017. With my calm and stepwise explanation, a second view of the solution procedure is given, which is often what is missing.
