Hey there!
My name is Carlotta. I am originally from Italy but moved to The Netherlands six years ago , therefore am able to speak Italian (mother tongue) and English fluently.

I have experience in tutoring children and students as I volunteered to do so in my previous academic school years. Additionally, I have predicted 39/45 points as my IB exam score and would love to give extra support to those that feel they need it. My goal is to keep students entertained during learning while still feel challenged.

When it comes to languages, this class will enable students to improve in different areas such as reading, writing and speaking.
Nevertheless, I have loved Geography for many years and would enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion with interested students. I have taken this class at a higher level in the IB program, and accordingly have a lot of materials ready to be used during the class.

I will assign homework which I will consequently mark and send back to you before the following lesson. If you are a beginner, do not worry, I will make sure to take the right steps and prevent you from feeling overwhelmed.

My name is Carlotta. I am originally from Italy, yet I have been living in The Netherlands for the past six years. I am graduating from the IB (International Baccalaureate) and I am enrolled in the University College Maastricht where, from September I will focus on International Relations and Law.
My drive enabled me to participate in extracurricular activities such as various Model United Nation Conferences, volunteering projects and public speaking competitions. I am a social girl who enjoys teamwork, sharing of ideas, cooperation and I really enjoy teaching languages at all levels.

Consequently, the job experiences, school events and activities I am taking part in, helped me gain the leadership and the skills necessary to reach my aspirations and goals, and help others in doing so too. Several experiences I took part in, such as working with and supporting disabled children during the summer, and tutoring younger students throughout the academic year, helped me to enhance responsible behaviour and motivation, which I believe is essential when teaching and tutoring. I believe to have developed the skills necessary to reach my aspirations and goals, while helping others in doing so.

I am obtained the International Baccalaureate program. I received 39/45 points, including 20 Academic Achievements Certificates for having top grades throughout the past academic years.
In September I will be starting my second year at the University College of Maastricht, where I will be focusing on International Law, political science and International Relations.

History is a subject often considered uninteresting. But I try to design my course according to your needs, your difficulties and even facilities in order to create a course in which you will flourish.
Also, I am a student in History and therefore I can help you with the methodology and recommend several books to deepen your subjects.

The course will be divided according to the periods:

First, Ancient Rome, from Romulus to the death of Nero where we will study the different aspects of Roman life and its politics. We will also study Ancient Greece, also considered the cradle of history with its mythology, daily life and the wars that marked it.
The Middle Ages will be studied from the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476. We will go through Clovis, religion but also royalty.
Then, we will study the modern era with plague epidemics, life under the old Regime and the different kings as well as their life at court without forgetting the wars of religion and absolutist reigns as well as the History of the English Revolutions .
Finally, the contemporary era (where I am most comfortable), where we will study the Catholic Church, the working world but also the global aspects of this period. We will also focus on the two world wars with the civilian impacts they had.

If you want a course on the HGGSP, we will follow the program according to the pace you study in class.
I would also like to train you orally, by doing some courses, by teaching you to master a PowerPoint and finally by teaching you the methodology of the dissertation, the presentation, the text commentary and finally the bibliography.
