I've been teaching English for more than 5 years now and I love teaching my mother tongue to foreigners as well.

If you are interested in learning Balkan languages like Montenegrin, Croatian, Bosnian and Serbian, I will gladly be of help. If you're only interested in visiting these countries and learning more about our culture, fear not, I will give you all the necessary information. :)

I'm a 28 year old expat from Serbia living in Budapest, Hungary. :)
I'm a native Serbian speaker and I speak English as my second language.
Despite me wanting to study other things in university, my life path has always been leading me to language teaching.
I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and talking about all kinds of topics.

I graduated from High school of Economics in 2013. My high school major was Law and Administration. I then proceeded to study Law at University of Novi Sad but since I live abroad, and the law differs here, I changed my major to Tourism and Hospitality management.

I obtained my Cambridge: Advanced English (CAE) certificate in 2017 as a formality and I have 5 years experience teaching English as an ESL tutor. In the future I am planning to take a TESOL test.

I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started teaching Turkish while studying Turkish Language and Literature at university. I worked in a language school and at universities. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for more than 16 years. I also taught Turkish for 5 years when I was a university student. In 2018, I obtained a TESOL certificate and also began teaching English.

I teach both adults and children. Creating a comfortable learning environment for my students is one of my top priorities. If you would like to learn Turkish or English in a consistent and structured way, I would be happy to work with you.

I hold firmly to two main principles: creating a comfortable space for learning and building an encouraging atmosphere.

My students often describe me as patient, positive, and well-organised. Over time, I’ve found my own way of making Turkish feel easier, more enjoyable, and more practical to learn.

I love shaping each lesson around my students’ interests, needs, and learning styles. I adapt my teaching to the needs of students with special conditions, such as ADHD and OCD.

In my lessons, you’ll never feel afraid of making mistakes. Before long, you’ll start noticing them on your own and correcting yourself naturally.

Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid understanding of grammar, as Turkish has a very different structure.

I use the course book set prepared by Istanbul University. It follows a strategic approach to learning Turkish and includes all language skills—reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking—from A1 to C2. All of these skills are essential for conversation.

I teach English for the A1 and A2 levels.

The workbook offers many exercises for homework or revision, and I support the book with my own authentic materials. I also use an interactive board that you can view anytime, and you can edit it as well. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons.

I speak English well, and a bit of Italian, and I have also studied Persian and German grammar. I am interested in literature.

This class offers insight into the English language. The students learn how to write, speak and comprehend the English language. Students will learn how to write clear and well-developed multi-paragraph essays using various methods through the process of planning, drafting, revising, editing and peer reviewing. Taking time to practise speaking the language you are learning is crucial in the development of your active vocabulary. This will allow you to communicate with greater fluency and confidence.
You can suggests topics or discuss a variety of topics like hobbies and passions, work and travel or anything that you would like to work on. Throughout the class I will keep track of any and all vocabulary that you were unfamiliar with and go over them with you as well as send the list to you at the end of the class, to keep track of words and expressions as you encounter them.
I have several games that I believe to be well suited for the learning of vocabulary. These will add an element of fun to the process of learning.
