Hello and welcome!

I am an experienced English language teacher and certified Cambridge examiner based in the Vaud region of Switzerland. With over 15 years of teaching experience, I specialise in helping French-speaking learners develop confidence, fluency and exam success.

I offer targeted preparation for Cambridge qualifications, including:
B2 First (FCE)
C1 Advanced (CAE)
Young Learners (YLE – Starters, Movers, Flyers)

My courses are structured, goal-oriented and adapted to each learner’s needs. As an examiner, I understand exactly what is required to succeed — and I train my students accordingly, focusing on speaking performance, exam strategies, grammar accuracy and lexical range.

I also work with young learners (from age 7), supporting them step-by-step towards internationally recognised qualifications in a motivating and engaging way.

Lessons are available in person (Vaud region) and online.

Formación

Master’s degree in Art History and Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages, complemented by a CELTA qualification in English language teaching. Certified Cambridge examiner with ongoing professional development in assessment and language pedagogy.

I have over 15 years of experience teaching English as a lingua franca for business, academic and personal purposes. I specialise in exam preparation and professional communication, working with both adults and young learners.

In addition to English, I also speak Swedish and Finnish fluently and occasionally teach Art History and Scandinavian languages.

I am a native English speaker having grown up in Canada and the United States. I give English lessons for all ages, all levels and all needs (conversation, interview rehearsal, grammar revision, exam preparation, etc.) and I have 13 years of experience in this field giving lessons for students of all ages (child, teenager, adult).

I am also available to help you in your translations (French or Spanish to English) and / or to revise your texts in English (eg theses, CVs). I always listen to the needs and goals of my students.

Back in Switzerland with an international and multicultural experience of more than 15 years acquired in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore, during which I regularly taught Spanish. I already worked in Lausanne before my departure abroad and I will be delighted to be able to bring my contribution to your school.

Difficulties in English or French? Learning a new language is not easy, nor is discovering a new culture. Learning is much easier when you have fun, and when the lesson is based on the child's interests.

Scientific research increasingly shows that we learn better while having fun, by adapting the teaching to our tastes. For English it's the same ... if your child is a fan of Minecraft or Pokemon, manga or drawing, we will approach the subject while reviewing the notions of English acquired or in the process of being acquired.

When I was living in my country I never before could imagine how people loves the Spanish language.
