I am a native American English speaking instructor, editor, journalist, and legal/policy expert from Florida specializing in instruction, interview and exam prep, consulting and text correction for a wide range of professionals & students across Belgium including in the legal, academic, policy, and other fields. As well, I can provide extensive help and training with the EPSO, IELTS, and TOEFL exams. I have spent my entire childhood and adult life in the United States before completing a master's degree in Political Science and European Politics at KU Leuven. Additionally, I also possess Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and History. I have an extensive knowledge and experience of English grammar and literature, as well as current and past working experience in journalism (Anti-Competition Law and European Policy at the Policy and Regulatory Report) and both European and American politics. In the case of tutoring, I base my lessons on the subject seen by the student by explaining to him in another way with many examples and by making him practice as much as possible. In case of learning the basics, I have set up my own totally interactive method so that the student can practice and during which I speak almost only in English to be close to immersion during the lessons. I do tutoring for primary and secondary students. However, I cannot help with science subjects for secondary school students. My father being Chilean, Spanish is my second language. Regarding English, I lived in England for a year where I took lessons. I also babysat children in Italy for several months, with whom I had to speak English constantly. I also have the First Certificate of English diploma. I took courses in a translation school for two years in English and Spanish. It allowed me to see in depth the grammar of these two languages and study them at a higher level. I gave French lessons for three years to non-French speakers. I try to find the method that corresponds to each one. Indeed, it is important for me to understand how the person to whom I am teaching works in order to best adapt my teaching.
