Modular synthesis is the place to be when it comes to new electronic music technologies. The cool thing about working with eurorack (modular synthesis) is that you can build your own electronic music system as you go. In this series of lessons you will learn the ins and outs of a number of essential Eurorack modules, VCOs, VCFs, VCAs, etc., and you will get started with them. You don't have to pay anything at all, because VCV rack, a software program, is free.

Jeroen. I am a very calm and patient person. I will make adjustments where necessary and help you on your way. I'm more of a try-first-and-then-learn type of teacher. In the modular synthesis lessons it also helps to visualize a lot.

LSS. Since the beginning of this year I have been taking a course on learning sound and synthesis given by Sarah Belle Reid. Through her I have studied modular synthesis and I want to share my knowledge with others.

If you are a beginner of advanced drummer or you need help with a song of your favourite band, i'm here to help you out!

In the classroom we have 2 drumsets available and a PA system to play along with music. You just need to bring earplugs.

In my classes you get to work on Ableton in a well-equiped home studio, with professional monitors, and a good deal of outboard gear.

Focus is to get you play with Ableton as if it were an extension of your arms.

We will do this by having you make your own track, in the style you had in mind.

By making your own track, you will start with the beginning, and work your way up to highly advanced stuff, including some harmony, sound synthesis techniques, mixing, and DYI mastering.

At the end of the course, you will have made your own track, in the style you envisaged, and with a superior, professional sound.

I have been playing music since I was a kid, first the buegel, then piano, melodica and organ.

When I was in my early twenties, I jumped on computer generated music production, and finally obtained my master in electronic music production in the UK.

My name is María, I am 25 years old and I am a professional cellist who graduated in Spain two years ago. Now I am doing a Master in Classical Music at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent.

For so many years I have been teaching music in different forms and ages (in already private schools): To people who wanted to get started in the musical language or start playing an instrument, to people who wanted to learn a score. or develop their musical tools, to people who wanted to continue growing as a musician and training their listening and people who wanted to improve their musical theoretical knowledge.

The (viola da) gamba is a bowed string instrument that was popular from the mid-16th to the mid-18th century. Like the recorder, the instrument comes in a variety of sizes, from small instruments in the register of the violin to large double bass ones. The best known and most commonly used type is the bass viol. My drum lessons can go in all directions. From jazz to pop and rock and hip hop. Always starting from a good technical basis and live guidance. For all levels and age groups. Usually I build up the lessons from technical exercises. These serve as a warm-up and basic vocabulary for the student. The technical exercises start with simple single strokes but quickly build up to rolls, accents, double strokes and flams. The second part of a lesson covers the knowledge of different grooves. I am a Belgian harpist (°1992) graduated from the conservatory of Antwerp, where I also followed the Alexander Technique. I gained experience in teaching at Art Academy De Poel (Ghent), Einstein Atheneum (Oostakker) and through private lessons. I like to pay a lot of attention to a good, relaxed posture and technique. When you are writing music, it is very important that you show your music to people. Someone with experience in composition, even better. It is sometimes difficult to take that step to show your pieces that you have worked hard on. But this is a very important step, it makes you more confident in your own piece. From then on, people can receive feedback and evolve further. In my lessons, I work mainly on structure and learning to compose. If necessary, I will also work on details, but first the idea and the form have to be right. Composing is an evolution and I myself am getting better every year.

To compose better, thorough music theory is also important. Just as you can express yourself better with more vocabulary, you can write better music and translate your idea into notes better with more music knowledge. The importance of this is often underestimated. For me, music theory (all the basic knowledge but especially harmony and counterpoint) go hand in hand.

Do you have a song that you've written that you believe could be amazing? Do you already have some skills using a DAW like Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools or Garage band? Would you like a new set of 'arrangers/producers ears' to redefine your song, reimagine it or simply improve what you have to bring it up to the best possible level?

I have worked in these areas where the boundary between composition, production and arrangement becomes blurred. The truth is they are inseparable to the end result and imagination is everything. So is an extra set of ears! Thats were I can help.

Which instrument to use ? (bass guitar or bass synth), which keys sound and where to place it in the mix. Where to set that high pass filter on the vocal? How much saturation does the snare need?

My background as a musician is vocals and guitars but as an arranger I've worked with everything.
