This course is above all there to make you want to play the guitar, let it be a pleasure! It will be based on the practice of the instrument, on the understanding and role of the guitar. The theory will be based on the progress of the practice. Step by step, practice and theory will thus be complementary, and will necessarily be useful! I'm a musician, teacher and DJ from New York City. Living in the Geneva area, teaching kids and adults—from absolute beginners to intermediate and advanced students. We use songs that students like, tailoring classes to the individual student. As well as teaching privately and through Aprentus, I've been a teacher at La Grande Boissière and GEMS Academy in Etoy. Parents and School references available on request. In New York city, I was an adjunct professor teaching for 4 years at Long Island University in Brooklyn. The courses were in music software programs (Reason, Garageband, Ableton). Students learnt to produce and mix their own songs in various styles — hip hop, reggae, house, electro as well as music for animation and film. In addition, I've composed music for television and have a long history of DJing in NY clubs and releasing music, vinyl and digital which I've continued to do since moving to Geneva.

I am offering classical guitar lessons for all ages and levels : Whether it is a complete beginner or a student preparing for competitions, my goal is to give every student the tools for reaching his own personal goals - and making music a positive influence in his life. I aim to teach my students the necessary skills to be able to explore the guitar with independence and confidence, so that they can use their knowledge regardless of the style and repertoire they choose to play. I care a lot about creating a fun and motivating atmosphere in my lessons, while giving the necessary technical, theorethical and artistic tools in order to make quick progress.

If you're new to guitar or you just need to improve your playing, I would be delighted to help you develop your skills through learning songs and working on techniques. I'll always be adapting my teaching to suit you and the goals you would like to achieve. I offer guitar lessons for all ages and levels. My lessons are based on the student's individual interests and objectives (it is possible to work on different styles and repertoires). My goal is to create a pleasant atmosphere as well as do everything possible to see my students evolve. Music theory is also a part of my teaching, an important element in learning music. A graduate of the Music Academy of Ljubljana (Slovenia) and the Haute École de Musique de Genève, I am continuing my studies in a Master's degree in pedagogy at the HEM in Geneva with Judicaël Perroy. I have teaching experiences in private lessons as well as masterclasses through different European festivals.

Time to work on the fundamentals of the instrument: - Tune the guitar - Adopt a good posture - Read a score, tablature and / or music theory - Play melodies, chords and arpeggios - Work pieces - Learn notions of rhythm and harmony Lessons for guitarists of all levels. Possibility of starting both children and adults. The duration of the course is 60 min, including a part of technical work and pieces with a pedagogy adapted to the age of the pupils. I have won over forty prizes in national and international guitar competitions. We work the techniques, rhythmic styles and harmony typical of flamenco. Once the pupil has acquired a certain mastery of the instrument, he can learn to accompany song and dance in order to complete his learning; let's say that the accompaniment of song and dance is what will allow the student to live a real experience of flamenco and thus feed on the ingredients necessary to learn and understand all the richness and complexity of this art. The accompaniment of the song: At first, we will study rhythmic formulas on precise chords, then in a second time, we will play these formulas with the singer (recorded on audio tracks). In order to make learning more lively, the student will be able to accompany the teacher who will sing certain styles and will be able to participate in monthly workshops to accompany song and dance with a singer, a dancer and other students. The student can also film during the lesson to be able to work at home more efficiently. Finally, distance learning courses are possible, via Whatsapp or Skype.

You have the option of choosing a song that you would like to learn and I will teach it to you. I can teach you how to read tabs (if you do not already know). I teach from the basics up until you are confidently able to play any song. I am very patient when it comes to teaching. I have experience in guitar teaching and have taught people who were complete beginners, and helped them to be able to independently play any song they want.
