I am a native English speaker from the UK and eorked as a qualified primary school teacher with children from age 4 to 8. I am experienced with teaching children with English as an additional language, as well as children with special educational needs. I am a maths specialist, and have a BSc, MSc and PhD in mathematics.

Expérience / Qualifications
I worked as a UK primary school teacher with children aged between 4 and 8. I am very experienced with teaching phonics, as well as basic writing skills. I have a PGCE with a primary maths specialism, meaning that I am trained to support students who have difficulty with maths. I have also studied mathematics to PhD level, and can assist with specific topics or general exam prep.

Thanks to my academic background, I have encountered numerous situations where mathematics and science are used to solve real-world problems. This allows me to explain to students the purpose of science courses, showing them the actual use of the concepts studied and how they apply in concrete contexts.

My teaching method also relies on learning through practice: exercises are central to the learning process. They allow students to solidify concepts, develop good reflexes, and learn to structure their thinking when faced with a problem. I guide the student through this process by helping them analyze, understand, and solve exercises progressively and independently.

I therefore seek to transmit a genuine working method: analyze a problem, structure it, translate it into mathematical language, solve it logically and efficiently, and above all develop autonomous and critical thinking in the face of the problems encountered.
