The flute is a very delicate and "light" instrument but is much more than that! With this lessons I want to share my knowledge about this amazing instrument. I will adapt myself to the level of the different students and will also adjust my way of teaching. We can work on sound, embochure, posture, music theory, studies and for sure melodies and even duets! I have experience in different styles such as barroque music, classical, romantique, comtemporary, chôrinho, etc... (we can choose what fits you better, or maybe do them all!). I also play the piccolo, wich would be a nice "candy" for you to try on, if you dont play it already. The main goal after all, is that you are comfortable and excited to explore and learn new things while having fun!

I am a portuguese flutist studying currently in the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I start studying the flute 10 years ago in my village in Portugal near Lisbon, and since then I am becoming more and more sure this is what I want for my life. I have experience in playing in orchestra, chamber music and solo. I have participated in festivals, competitions and Masterclasses around europe. I love classical music but also other styles such as jazz and Bossa Nova. And I hope with this lessons to be able to share my knowledge and happiness about making music with you, and also learn, because we have always something to learn from others too. I hope the student to be enthusiastic and engaged with new challenges. Let's make some music!

Je suis une flûtiste portugaise qui étudie actuellement au Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. J'ai commencé à étudier la flûte il y a 10 ans dans mon village au Portugal près de Lisbonne, et depuis, je suis de plus en plus sûre que c'est ce que je veux pour ma vie. J'ai de l'expérience en jouant dans un orchestre, en musique de chambre et en solo. J'ai participé à des festivals, des concours et des masterclasses dans toute l'Europe. J'aime la musique classique mais aussi d'autres styles comme le jazz et la Bossa Nova. J'espère avec ces cours pouvoir partager mes connaissances et mon bonheur de faire de la musique avec vous, et aussi apprendre, car nous avons toujours quelque chose à apprendre des autres aussi. J'espère que l'étudiant sera enthousiaste et engagé dans de nouveaux défis. Faisons de la musique !

I play the flute since I was 9 years old and I am currently doing my Bachelor degree in the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. I have studied previously in Lisbon and have done some Erasmus In Italy.

I have experience in many genres like barroque music, classical, contemporary, chôrinho and jazz, and in many different formations such as orchestras or chamber music groups. i also play the piccolo and Alto flute.

Hello to everyone!
My name is María, I am a Venezuelan Cellist.
All my musical education was inside the musical program "El Sistema" in Venezuela. This education was based on preparing myself as a better human being though playing cello in orchestras, chamber music and as soloist.
I am current studying my Master degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
In what consist my lessons?
Cello classes for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), it does not matter if you have never played cello before or if you are already studying, the important thing is to help you achieve the goals you want with this beautiful instrument.
To have better results with practice, if it is necessary to help you with music theory, I will help you.
As well, if you're looking for help in orchestral excerpts for auditions, I'm here for you!
For kids, parental support is also important during some lesson, we are all a team and we need to work together to achieve the goals!
Classes can be in person at your house or mine (BRUSSELS, BELGIUM) or via videocall (Skype, Zoom, etc). The schedules are planned according to the time of the student and the teacher.

Concernant le contenu du cours je le module en fonction de vos attentes et objectifs.

Je lie systématiquement le travail concret de l'instrument ( Classique, Variété ou Jazz ) avec un apprentissage minimal des éléments de base de la pratique musicale en général : théorie de la musique, formation de l'oreille intérieure, développement de la sensibilité harmonique, mélodique et rythmique, solfège etc... Je peux volontiers aborder tout cela plus profondément à la demande de l'élève, c'est passionnant aussi vous verrez !

La première rencontre sera l'occasion de discuter de tout cela, afin de mettre en place un cadre adopté à votre profil (Jeune enfant débutant, adolescent confirmé, adulte en reprise ou autres...)

Je considère que l'essentiel est de trouver un bon équilibre entre les exigences de rigueur inévitables pour progresser dans l'apprentissage du piano et le plaisir immédiat de jouer de la musique, qu'on est en droit d'attendre d'un si bel instrument !

In my classes I aim to transmit first of all my passion and love for music.
I like to prepare a personalized programme adapted to the level and exigencies of each pupil.
I also aim to include some violin duos, to be played with me during the lessons, as I believe playing with other musicians is one of the best ways to enjoy music and learn useful musical and technical skills at the same time.
Another essential factor in my classes is correct and natural posture while playing, to let music heal our souls instead of hurting our bodies! ;) I have been practicing Yoga for a few years, and have experienced the importance of good posture and targeted light stretching, especially for younger players in a phase of growth and change.
I like to help pupils to develop good technical skills in a fun way, always applying technique to targeted repertoire and keeping in mind that technique is nothing but a means of expressing ourselves through music.

I give lessons in English, French, Italian and Spanish.

Folklore from the south of the world – Music Lesson

I am Chilean and I am fan and player of the music of the southern cone: Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. Specifically I can help you learn tango, cueca, milonga, murga, boleros and tonadas. To a lesser extent I can help to learn Afro-Peruvian and bossa nova.

The lessons I offer can include musical practice, rhythms, progressions and typical melodies, as well as the study of the history of the musical genres and the culture associated with them.

If you want to nurture your career as a musician with other genres or if you are an amateur musician with an interest in music from the south of the world, these lessons are for you. If you are not a musician and simply want to approach the study of the culture, I can also provide books, articles and videos relating to it.

I would love to contribute to the further dissemination of this folklore that I love so much.
