Trumpet and general music lessons - Learn how to communicate by music!

Welcome to the music theory course for beginners, intermediate and advanced! You'll learn the basics of reading notes, rhythms, and intervals, as well as advanced topics like scales and chords. My interactive lessons will help you develop your musical ear and your theoretical understanding, all in a friendly atmosphere and respecting the student's needs!

As a professional pianist with a passion for teaching, I have been teaching piano and music theory for 10 years now, at conservatories, music schools, and private lessons. I hold a performance license from the Rouen Conservatory and a master's degree in teaching from the Institut Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie de Namur. I adapt to each student's profile so that they can flourish musically!

My name is Evan and I just moved to Brussels to study at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. Last year I finished my masters degree at The Juilliard School in New York City. I taught many students in New York and I would love to teach around Brussels! I am able to teach players of all levels: from total beginner to an expert looking to unlock their next breakthrough. Together, we will identify your goals and come up with a curriculum that would be suitable for you. I played throughout the New York area for 4 years, and have lots of experience in orchestra, brass quintets, solo playing, and more. I also worked at J. Landress Brass in New York, and have extensive knowledge of all brass instrument equipment. I hope to meet you and start making music with you soon!

Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁 I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,... After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw! Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc. Book a lesson and try! I'm Giorgos and i teach Lute and Classical guitar! I have over 15 years of teaching experience, and have studied and have my Degrees from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, both in Classical Guitar as well as Historical Plucked instruments. I regularly perform in concert halls with orchestras and groups all around Europe, perform with my own ensembles based in Brussels and Italy, and enjoy an active teaching schedule. My aim with teaching is to find the best way to facilitate the student to find their own voice and direction, and to help steer them on their preferred road of performance. The schedule and repertoire are decided by the student, and we plot a course together depending on your goals, whether that's aiming to place into an academy or the conservatories, or if you just enjoy playing music as a hobby and wish that it accompanies you through your life! With several years of experience in teaching the violin, my lessons are for everyone, whatever your desires. I adapt my method according to the wish as well as the age of the student, and starting an instrument as an adult should not be a brake. Graduated in Musicology from La Sorbonne as well as from the ULB, I also offer support courses in Musical Training, History of Music and Analysis. An instrument lesson usually lasts one hour. If necessary, I can cut the time between Violin and Musical Training / History. My rates are 29/hour at my home (Schaerbeek), 35 if I travel.
