I am Niki.

Born in Athens, Greece I was the fortunate recipient of a classic French education. I went to a French speaking primary school and later on I decided to study the French Language and Literature at the University of Athens. When I completed my Bachelor, I went to France and followed a Master in Translation. I lived in Strasbourg for 2 years, where I experienced the French culture and civilization first hand.

My passion was always to deal with languages. After some years of translating and teaching, I decided to learn Swedish, which I did with a great enthusiasm. Went to continue my studies in Sweden, where I worked also in a summer school for three summers.

I speak fluently 4 languages: Greek (native language), French, English, Swedish and I have had significant exposure to many other languages and linguistic fields.
I also took to Dutch at which point I clearly understood the challenges of adult language learning.

I had dreamt of teaching with a clear and compelling vision: to change kids’ and adults' lives by making high-quality language education widely available; and to contribute in the long-term to language sciences.
I feel blessed with capacities to transmit my knowledge. There is nothing I enjoy more than its human, cultural and linguistic diversity, and its mission.

In this class, I want to focus on teaching my native language in a way that my students feel comfortable, enjoy learning and learn as much as possible about the Greek language, people and culture. I prioritize speaking and actually learning grammar and vocabulary through speaking and through various documents like songs, movies, articles, etc.
