FranciscoPrivate English and Spanish Lessons for students and adults
Languages are important tools in this new era in which we live. The more languages you know the more opportunities you get. As a teacher, I have been working for more than seven years. I focus on the learner's goals to plan my lessons. I am an English teacher and I have experience teaching students from elementary and high school, college students and also other teachers. I am very enthusiastic, motivating and challenging. I am also patient, committed and responsible.
KollolMath Tutoring (Boswell-Beta/CCVX (VWO) Math A/B/C /IB/GCSE A-levels/ SAT)
I am specialized (>5 years of experience) in tutoring math for school (any level, but preferably higher level), including competitive exams such as the SAT, GRE, GMAT, and the IIT-JEE. This class is aimed to train 1) high-school students undergoing VWO or an IB curriculum, who are having problems following math at school or university, 2) Anyone who wishes to take the VWO Math-A/B/C entrance examinations by Boswell or CCVX and wants to train for that. Personally, I am currently working as a Quantitative Researcher of stock markets, and therefore analytical math is also a part of my job. The classes could be rigorous or lenient depending on the student. There will be periodic progress reviews and tests and I'll make sure that the student achieves her/his desired goals.
NoelleKEEPING LEARNING ALIVE, ONLINE (and later, in person when we are allowed to go back outside)
For anyone who wants to shift their focus away from hand-sanitizer and toilet paper, why not enrol in some lessons to keep your mind off what is happening for an hour or two? My classes are for anyone who would like to improve their English but I am especially reaching out to parents. If you need a moment to yourself or you need to get your own work done, sign your kid/s up for lessons to keep up with their English language skills, and give them something to do. I can help with their speaking and listening and if teenagers need to prepare for exams, or need help with homework, I can assist with that too. We need to stay safe and online is providing opportunities to still connect with those around us and it definitely helps with keeping up with studies. I have been able to adapt lessons to online platforms that are informative and fun and that can move into physical settings later. I have the ability to access levels and provide lessons best suited for an individual or a group's needs. I have been teaching for six years now and have taught students from as young as three all the way to adults. I focus on all four skill sets but online, the lessons will be more listening, speaking and grammar based and for kids, songs and games. I am always building my skills. I love learning just as much as I love teaching. See you online soon and later, in person.
AnnaEnglish Tutoring for secondary school students in Amsterdam and surrounding areas
Hi there, My name is Anna and I am an English teacher in North Holland. I am a native English speaker currently teaching English at a bilingual school to vwo/havo/vmbo students (secondary school students, equivalent to high school). Next to that I tutor English professionally from A2 to C1 level. If you want to improve your written/spoken English in a professional business setting, then I can assist with this. I can also help prepare students for language exams, or improve their general English proficiency. I have worked as a teacher for over 5 years and during that time I have gained experience teaching to students as young as 4 years old, as well as adults. I am open to tutoring any age from A2 level and up. I am currently available Monday late afternoons/evenings, Wednesday late afternoons/evenings, and Friday late afternoon/evenings. I am flexible on weekends. About me: I studied psychology and organizational leadership in the US. I worked as a primary school teacher and then as a high school teacher in the US, in addition to tutoring independently and at tutoring centers. After relocating here, I attended Utrecht Universiteit to become a certified teacher in the Netherlands. I currently work at a bilingual school and teach English grammar and literature to students between 12 and 16 years of age. I spend my limited free time cooking in excess and feeding my friends/neighbors/colleagues, or exploring the city, or taking care of my two unnamed fish, or attempting to bake (I am bad a terrible baker, ironic given my name!). Ultimately, I am passionate about teaching and learning, so that is how I spend most of my days.
TomEnglish lessons with a CELTA-qualified native English speaking teacher / Engelse lessen met een ervaren CELTA-gecertificeerde docent
Are you looking for a qualified native English teacher (British) with extensive teaching and business experience? If so, I would love to help you! I have a very simple teaching philosophy. Every single lesson must be challenging, rewarding, and fun – as the best way to learn is with a smile on your face. I adapt our lessons together to your unique needs and goals, including: • improving your accent and pronunciation; • helping you avoid steenkool English and typical ‘Dunglish’ words; • broadening your vocabulary; and • perfecting your use of tenses. Most important of all, I can help improve your confidence, which is the key to learning any language. A speciality of mine is Business English, so I can also help with everything from preparing for an interview or speaking in meetings, to giving a presentation. While my classes are 100% in English, I can also speak Dutch and Spanish. This gives me a real insight as to why students make certain mistakes, and how to best avoid them.

SonjaEnglish tutor in Amsterdam, various subjects, kids & adults
Hi everyone! I'm a Native English speaker that offers private tutoring for various means (homework help, studying for exams, etc...). You can send me a message if you are interested, and we can discuss the possibilities. I currently hold a Bachelor's degree in Minorities & Multilingualism, with a minor in (English) linguistics. I live very close to Amsterdam, and I'm open to tutoring both children and adults. I also have some experience as an after-school (assistant) ESL teacher for Middle school kids back in 2013-2014. I really loved that job, so I am thinking to work as an ESL teacher in the near future as well :) I've continuously been told that I am great at explaining complex things in a simple way, by both my international friends when it comes to understanding (English) assignments, as well as my language conversation partners. I also help my mom with editing and proofreading her poems (she's a writer). Moreover, I'm currently also self-studying Japanese, so I understand the frustrations and challenges that come with learning to master a (new) language!

***** Availability update made on 09/01/2020. Valid until further notice ***** I offer you my services in order to make you truly effective orally / in writing in English. If you have to use English in the course of your professional activity and you don't get comfortable with it ... If you are tired of being spotted immediately as French ... If you don't know still not when to use the present perfect / preterite .... I'm here to help you and make you progress. * Linguist by training and author of school textbook in this capacity. Note that I am not this young student who had a good mark in the Baccalaureate or this other who is supposedly bilingual. I offer you my expertise and my experience. By the way, to have 10/20 in the Baccalaureate, it is enough to have the A2 level (which is theoretically expected at the end of 3rd year) so I let you imagine the desperation of future engineers who must obtain at least 750 in the TOEIC! (the equivalent of level B2!) * Daily monitoring possible via internet. * Each course is prepared according to your needs. Feedback is always given. * Specialized in "phonology": intonation, word accent, connections ... ElodiePrivate lessons for German - English - French
The student informs me of the concepts he wishes to see or review in French, German and / or English; I adapt and agree to give him a course of the best possible quality, as well as to provide him with exercises and advice adapted to his needs. I have completed my Bachelor in Multilingual Communication (Faculty of Translation and Interpretation of the University of Geneva) and am available to help other students and to share my knowledge with them. I started learning German over 15 years ago and have also completed numerous language stays in Germany, including a semester as an au pair with daily language lessons and an Erasmus semester as part of of my Bachelor. Furthermore, I have been speaking German daily in my private life for over two years now. As for English, I started learning it over 10 years ago; I also did a semester in Liverpool with daily lessons in a language school and have continued to practice it ever since, both personally and at university. I have obtained an official certificate attesting to my level of German (telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule), as well as a certificate attesting to my level of English (Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English - C1). Regarding French, it is my mother tongue and I am improving it day by day, particularly as part of my training as a translator at the University of Geneva. Ps: During the lockdown linked to Covid-19, I continued to give online lessons (via Skype); these classes went very well and were just as effective as the in-person classes. Given the current circumstances and because I no longer live in Geneva, I offer online courses (via Skype and with the help of other IT tools). I look forward to helping you in your learning process and passing on my passion for languages to you through our meetings! We look forward to meeting you soon! Elodie
