Salām! I'm Sona—a Dari/Farsi/Persian language instructor with a passion for Dari-Farsi culture and daily phrases, curious learners, and making class feel like a cultural adventure. Whether you're tracing your roots or just love the rhythm of Persian poetry, I’ll guide you through the twists of the alphabet and the heart behind the language.

Opleiding

I hold a Bachelor of Laws and Political Science (Administration and Diplomacy Department) with a focus on project management professional with Project Management Institute (PMI).

Leservaring

My journey as a Dari/Farsi language teacher began in childhood—sharing stories, songs, and lessons with neighbors and younger relatives in my community. Language has always been my way of connecting, and over the years, I’ve developed and led structured Dari language courses for learners of all ages. From informal lessons under the apricot tree to organized classes in the Netherlands, teaching has never been just a skill—it’s my way of sharing culture, confidence, and belonging.

My goal is to teach younger children/students the correct way of the English language. I have had precious experience with tutoring while I lived in Germany. During my time in tutoring,I learnt that children tend to learn faster and easier when enjoying a lesson. I therefore try to keep my lessons fun and exciting but of course, effective. My lessons included tasks like word puzzles, role play, quizzes etc. I provide worksheets, but I am open to helping out with homework they received from school or anything they are having problems with. At the end of every few lessons, I like to give a small exam on what was learnt the past few hours. Just to see what can be improved or What has already become a plus.

During the lesson I want to focus on the child or young people.
Children or young people who are gloomy.
Who take the wrong path or don't feel like going to school. I will help children and young people with whom the parents no longer have any advice. I do this by having conversations with the child but also with the parents. I will make a plan based on what the circumstances are. From that you will see how much time I need. But you can also schedule me for individual hours of course. What I want to work on is the awareness of the child. Who is the child, what is school, what is friends, what are limits, what do our parents mean, what will come and what will go. What will benefit and what will not, etc. I first want an introductory meeting with the parents so that the parents first get to know me and I them. Who I am and what I can do. I have a background in healthcare and welfare, but there I learned a fraction of what I can apply to the young people who need help. Everything I apply comes from my own experience and experiences of people in my environment. Furthermore, words are not enough, but there is a very good chance that I can do something for your child. I did not learn it from a book, I will be very honest about it right away. But there is someone who has studied from books for years. The knowledge that I have about human psychology can not only be read through but lived.

I come from Denhaag and I am 26 years old.

Leerkracht basisonderwijs met ervaring in alle leerjaren (groep 3 tot en met 8) wil graag uw kind één op één helpen om de lesstof te begrijpen. In de klas is er niet altijd de tijd en de gelegenheid uw kind alles uit te leggen. Als er eenmaal kennis ontbreekt, wordt het lastiger om mee te komen in de klas, terwijl het met extra uitleg de lesstof prima aankan.

Ik kan uw kind helpen met bijles in rekenen, technisch en begrijpend lezen en spelling.

Ouder training 'kritisch eetgedrag bij (jonge) kinderen' ➡️ nieuwe datum!

Worstel jij met een kind dat weinig lust, alles weigert of ineens kieskeurig eet? Je bent niet de enige! Daarom organiseren wij opnieuw onze oudertraining over kritisch eetgedrag.

📅Dit keer ’s avonds op woensdag 18 juni van 19:30 tot 21:00 in Leiderdorp.

Wat leer je?
✅Een stukje basis kennis over gezonde voeding.
✅Praktische handvatten om kritisch eetgedrag te begrijpen én aan te pakken.
✅Advies en tips om eetmomenten weer leuk en ontspannen te maken.

Na de training ontvangt iedere ouder een uitgebreide werkgids met opdrachten, recepten en spelletjes om thuis direct aan de slag te gaan.

Groepskorting: Stel je zelf een groepje samen van minimaal 6 personen (vriendinnen, collega’s, pufclub)?
