My focus is on explaining things in a way that you really understand it, instead of just being able to repeat it. The nice thing about chemistry is that a lot of the work has been done for you by other people, like the periodic table for example, and a lot of the hard work is knowing some key concepts that will help you link everything together. I know chemistry seems hard, but when you understand it properly, it can be a lot more enjoyable.

When I was doing my GCSEs and A-Levels, I found that when I found something hard, a lot of the time it was just because I hadn't had it explained in the right way. Even if you think you know how to do something, sometimes you are really only repeating it, and without truly understanding it you aren't reaching your full potential.
