I am from Austria and have been going to an English speaking school since 7 years and can be considered a native speaker. I have experience teaching children as I had been helping several kids in my school. I will be practicing conversation skills and reading skills. All my life I have wanted to become a teacher because I love working with children or older people! I like to be interactive with my students because I think that this way it is a lot easier to learn than by just reading a book or trying to remember vocabulary.

Education

Completed the (IB) International Baccalaureate from Western International School of Shanghai. German was one of my High Level subjects and I scored a good mark in my exams. I also completed the Mathematics subject as a Standard Level course.

I am from Vienna, and therefore am a Native German speaker. I have been speaking German all my life and also had it in school as a subject every year. I also helped in a primary school club to teach children German for 2 years recently. I have gathered a lot of experience tutoring Mathematics to primary schoolers.

My name is Denise I’m a Mexican Spanish as Foreign Language tutor (ELE Español Lengua Extranjera as acronym) certified by "Escuela Internacional Cervantes" with a Bachelor in Spanish Literature by the University of Nuevo León Mexico (UANL).

I started teaching and tutoring Spanish at a very young age helping my colleagues from High School achieve better scores and later I formalize this activity while finishing my university studies.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.

Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.

I spent six months in Chile where I passed the TEFL exam and worked as an English teacher in multinational companies where I gained experience teaching students English at all levels. Having studied international relations, I enjoy using cultural & political topics in my classes using podcasts, ted talks, movie clips or newspaper articles to teach vocabulary and grammar.
Franco-Australian, and having studied in France, I am happy to give French classes as well !

Learning French for professional, student or personal reasons is an excellent way to discover one of the most spoken languages in the world. Despite its many exceptions and rules, French remains a very interesting language, in its description of the world and in its history.

Graduated with a Master's degree in teaching French as a foreign and second language and a bachelor in language sciences and French sign language, I offer my services for private lessons, in Vienna, until June 2024 minimum.

I am currently a French assistant in two high schools. I have already taught at a university in Montreal as a trainee teacher and last year at the French primary school in Belgrade. We can use German and English to communicate.
