I’m Anahit, and I’m here to support you on your math journey with a professional yet approachable teaching style. With over 5 years of tutoring experience, I’ve guided students of very different levels — from a 4th grade student, to an IBDP Year 2 student, and even a master’s student in Data Science. This flexibility has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching methods to the needs of each learner, whether the focus is on building strong fundamentals or tackling advanced concepts.

Mathematics has been a consistent part of my life — from excelling in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme with Math at Higher Level, to now pursuing a master’s degree in Data Science and Financial Technology. Studying and applying advanced mathematics on a daily basis allows me not only to keep my knowledge sharp but also to bring real academic and practical depth into my tutoring.

When working with students, I focus on making complex ideas clear and accessible. I strive to create a welcoming environment where trust builds naturally and students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring challenges, and even enjoying the process of learning math. Many students struggle with math not because they lack ability, but because they haven’t been given the right approach. My role is to provide that approach — helping them grow in both confidence and skill.

Hello all,

I am a professional high school teacher who can also provide tutoring individually (both online and on location). After each lesson I give homework to the student to check whether he / she understands it. Hope to see you.

During the math class, various topics can be discussed such as algebra and statistics. To prepare myself well, I ask a few days before the lesson if the student would like to forward the chapters to me before the lesson so that I can study them. We then schedule a lesson where I will explain the most difficult issues in the chapter.

In mijn methode van lesgeven laat ik de leerling erg actief deelnemen. Ik stel hem/haar veel vragen over de stof die meer inzicht geven in de theorie. Naast de vragen laat ik een leerling ook af en toe een cruciaal stukje theorie aan mij uitleggen. Ik corrigeer hem/haar waar nodig. Hierdoor krijgt de leerling een beter beeld van de kern van de stof.
Een typische les ziet er zo uit:
Ter voorbereiding, als de leerling dit wil, nemen we samen de lastigere theorie door. Wil de leerling dit niet, dan wijs ik beknopt op de aandachtspunten van de te behandelen stof en stel een aantal vragen. Hetgeen waar de moeilijkheden liggen bestuderen we samen tot de theorie gesnapt wordt. Daarna maken we samen een opdracht van gemiddeld niveau, daarna een opdracht van gemiddeld niveau waarin de leerling zijn/haar denkstappen vertelt en tenslotte een wat lastigere opgave om zowel de theorie als het opdrachten maken er nóg beter in te krijgen. Aan het eind van de les evalueren we de les.

I am an experienced Math and Physics tutor for children aged 12-18 y/o based in Rotterdam. I've been studying engineering in London and the TU Delft for the past 5 years and I have helped (international) children with their math and physics classes before.

I am currently a third year student in pre-med at Erasmus University College, and a second year in mechanical engineering at TU Delft. I am proficient in teaching in English and can explain stuff in Dutch, but at a slightly slower pace as it is my second language. I can essentially tutor all STEM subjects with a week's notice due to my coursework in almost all field but here is a list I am most comfortable with: Mathematics, Physics, Biology (not plant biology), Chemistry, Computer science (Matlab and Python), principles of engineering design (including SolidWorks) and Economics. My previous experience with teaching is both at a university level as an education and research assistant for Behavioural Economics, and as a part-time high school teacher for biology and Mathematics.
