Apollonia Maria
Beginner to Advanced Lessons for Guitar Players for all ages
After dedicating 14 years to mastering the guitar, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of guitar playing, encompassing both foundational techniques and advanced music theory. In these lessons, I'll be sharing the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated over this extensive period of learning. I will be covering a broad range of guitar techniques, including fingerpicking, strumming techniques, major and minor chords, power chords, barre chords, riffs, scales, finger warm-ups, practising any song of your choice, string bending, pull-offs, hammer-ons, harmonics, strumming patterns, and slides. All are provided with diagrams etc. For music theory, I will begin by covering the fundamentals, including notes, strings, and the musical 12-note chromatic scale alphabet on the guitar. As students progress, we will delve into more advanced topics such as tones, semitones, chord progressions, circle of fifths, scale formulas and chord terminology. Additionally, we will explore concepts like consonance and dissonance and pitch practice to develop relative pitch. (You have to be born with perfect pitch but you can learn relative pitch with practise!) Then advancing to jazz theory, we'll explore; jazz scale formulas, jazz chord progressions, swing techniques, major and minor 7th chords, major and minor 9th chords, dominant, augmented, half-diminished, diminished, sus2 and sus4 chords. And then jazz scales and the art of re-harmonising a song (changing the chords to jazz chords). All music theory will be intertwined with guitar practice as both can't be done without the other! One observation I've made while learning guitar through lessons is that information is often doled out incrementally, making it feel like a breadcrumb trail. Guitar knowledge and skills seem to be closely guarded and usually gatekept unless actively sought out. I strongly believe that the extensive knowledge I've acquired over 14 years of playing should be fruitfully shared in a more comprehensive and accessible manner, of course while being tailored to the pace of the students. In essence, I'm convinced that the depth of my understanding I've gained could be effectively conveyed and learnt within a two-year timeframe without including the time it takes to master the skill with practice, of course, I'd like to make it easier for people to learn the guitar and the theory behind it. I have also graduated with a distinction for my Music Performance and Production UAL Level 3 Course and have experience teaching guitar in London and Bristol before. The lessons will be taught in English so practising your English with me is also a plus, a foundational knowledge of English is required to take the lessons.

My background as well as my skills in lyrical singing allow me to master my instrument well. I am a very curious and very patient person, and I like to find solutions to problems. Transmitting my passion to students wishing to discover or develop their voices, discover their artistic personality would be a great pleasure for me. Damien
Conservatory student gives lessons in guitar, music theory and musical composition (all styles)
Graduated from a license in musicology, I am currently pursuing my graduate studies at the conservatory in the scholarly disciplines of composition, analysis, writing, musical arrangement as well as Jazz. I have been playing guitar for many, many years now, as well as piano and flute. I have been teaching guitar, piano, flute and musical education for several years now to children, teenagers and adults. I also have a very good level in music theory, writing (jazz and classical), harmony as well as musical composition. My classes are based on listening as well as the development of the musical ear and musical creativity. I try to transmit my passion for music by making my students discover very varied horizons, from jazz to classical music, including current music and so-called traditional music. I also seek to develop autonomy in my students, an essential quality in order to flourish both musically and in everyday life. This is why I insist on the knowledge of the instrument and the development of creativity through the teaching of applied music theory and the development of the ear. My course is aimed at both beginners and people of an intermediate or advanced level who would like to improve their skills. If you are looking for a teacher who is both an educator and attentive to your personal musicality, do not hesitate to contact me.

Gabriel
Piano lessons, harmony, composition, counterpoint
I give piano and music theory lessons with my own method. The music theory part is not purely theoretical but always mixed with practice. My method emphasizes the deciphering of scores, given that the objective is to allow the student to be as independent as possible thereafter. It will also have a technical aspect, but I prefer to have her work directly with pieces rather than dry exercises. I also give lessons in harmony, counterpoint and composition for those who would like to go further.

Etienne
DJ/Producer gives MAO lessons (music on computer)
Hello ! I'm Etienne, I'm a professional electronic music producer and guitarist. I have been practicing MAO (computer-assisted music) for more than ten years, notably within a Techno music group in which I was able to train in sound engineering with a qualified engineer. of INFA. I was also able to perfect my approach to composition by training with a teacher at the American School of modern music Paris. I'm part of a Techno duo Sana + Nasa (more recently renamed "AZA:ZEL"). We are in the artist catalog of the booking agency La Quarantaine, our music has been published on labels such as SCTR, Carcères Records, Jaelos and Afterhours and we have had the privilege of playing several times in Paris, Berlin and Zagreb. I also had the opportunity to do podcasts on The Techno Children and Eletronic Subculture and finally on television on Clubbing TV (international broadcast) I started teaching music (electronic music and guitar) in 2019 and I regularly give lessons to around ten students, both girls and boys! Everything can take place in my studio as if by video. I give lessons for both advanced level students and beginners who have no experience. I currently have a Techno project, a beatmaking project (selling pop, rap and electro instrumentals) and I am also part of a metal band... which means that I teach several styles of music ! Together we will be able to discover: - composition (arrangement) - Mixing and mastering - DJing I can also advise you on the equipment you will need (a computer and a good headset are more than enough at the start) and I will help you install everything you need, free installation ;) There are 1000 training courses on YouTube, the only problem is that there is food and drink, a lot of training provided and not always in the right order. I first started learning computer music on my own and it was a long process! Especially because I had to unlearn a lot of things. As a teacher, I will be able to support you in your learning and guide it so that you can ingest the right information in the right order and ensure that you have understood it perfectly. In short, I will save you a lot of time, time which can be counted in years of learning. One of my students started with me 5 months ago, he started with almost no knowledge of computer music, today he plays regularly for Darude and his latest creation will be released on a label. I'm not going to lie to you, he worked a lot to get there, but what he achieved took me years to do and it very probably couldn't have been done without training. With a little work and rigor you could be the next to achieve this feat! If you have any questions about the course, do not hesitate to send me a message. See you soon, I hope, Stephen

Anders
Tailor-made guitar lessons for all levels.
I am the guitarist of singer Guillaume Grand, Klingande and many others. I compose and record for Chloé, Pal Zileri and many other brands. When I'm not touring or in the studio, my passion is teaching music and sharing my experience with others. I am a Swedish musician living in Paris for 5 years currently. I speak English fluently. I speak a little French and if you allow me to make a few mistakes, I can also give lessons in French. My goal when teaching is to personalize my lessons as much as possible for you. I avoid standardized courses so as not to demotivate you. I want to help you find the best way to get the results you want. I do a lot of touring and recording, but I try to continue teaching music because I love it. I have experience with students ages 12 to 71. I can give lessons to both beginners and experienced guitarists. I often work in the studio and tour a lot, which gives me much more hands-on experience in the music industry compared to qualified teachers who only know teaching. I have a professional quality home studio and I also offer guitar and voice recording lessons. I also offer recording of tracks that you can practice on at home. I mainly work on Pro Tools and Ableton Live. My main registers are pop, rock, folk, electro, blues, etc. (minus jazz, classical and Latin).

Matéo
DEM Jazz graduate gives guitar lessons of all styles in Paris
Hello, my name is Matéo and I am 25 years old. I have been playing the guitar for 8 years and I have been teaching it for more than 4 years to about twenty children or adult students that I have had in private or group lessons, at home or in music school. On the diploma side, I obtained my DEM Jazz (Diploma of Musical Studies) after several years in conservatory and music school. My favorite style is therefore jazz but I teach current music in general on the guitar (acoustic as well as electric) and above all I adapt to my students to teach them what they like. In addition to learning pieces, the knowledge I have acquired allows me to approach musical theory (the rhythmic, melodic and harmonic aspects inherent in each piece) and the logic of the instrument (the organization of the notes on the handle) if necessary, the goal not being to inflict a lot of music theory on ourselves but to use it to our advantage, by small touches, in order to become a complete musician. A few words about my pedagogy: For me, the most important thing - especially when you're just starting out - is to have fun making music. What I always ask my students: “What do you want to play? What music do you like? ". Because it is this desire that will make it possible to make the effort to work to achieve the result and above all to progress on the path. After a necessary moment spent on the fundamentals (posture, position of the fingers, right hand/left hand function, open chords, rhythm, simple melodies) I thus adapt to the profile of each student to offer him avenues of work in relation to the selected piece. I think this method allows you to explore music deeply while remaining playful. I move around Paris, in priority around the 15th, 16th, and 7th arrondissement. If you have any questions, do not hesitate and look forward to meeting you! Mateo

Mia
Lyrical singing lessons for all levels in Paris
As a lyrical singer I had the opportunity to perform at an international level but also to continue to teach my profession. My "teacher creed" In vocal pedagogy, I would say that I always find myself "face to face" with a new and unique instrument - the voice: each student is unique and that is why we must look for individual didactic and methodological tools. This means that I am able to lead a singing lesson in different ways so that I can find the vocal exercises or personalized and appropriate pieces of music to get the most out of each student. My vocal technique is based on breathing exercises, awareness of the whole body as an instrument, knowledge of the biological principles of breathing as well as the artistic meaning of breathing. My basic goals are: to maintain a feeling of high position while singing (singing with resonance), binding purely distinctive vowels (legato singing), developing the range of a voice step by step and balancing the vocal registers. While "building" the voice, I take the assessment and development of a student's personality seriously, which I think is undeniable in arts education. It also consists in knowing the appropriate repertoire according to the vocal development of each student.
