Reading Remediation for Children and Adults with Dyslexia

I specialize in teaching dyslexic children and adults to read and spell more accurately and with less frustration. I use the Barton Reading and Spelling Curriculum, and have been tutoring using this program for four years. I have worked with many students in person and via Zoom, who have done remarkably well with this system. I would require two sessions per week, each session lasting 60 minutes. No homework per say would be assigned.

I am a mother of four children (three grown and one still at home) All four are dyslexic. This is why I became a dyslexia tutor. I went to the training and seminars to learn how to help my children, and was able to help them. Now I am passionate about helping anyone with dyslexia learn to read more accurately and with less frustration. Everyone is able to learn to read, if they are taught in the way that they learn.

I am a private tutor using the Barton System, and I attended the dyslexia screening seminar taught by Susan Barton. I am a Dyslexia Consultant and have worked with many students through the last four years, all of which had great success with the program.
