I have been teaching since 2004. I hold Bachelor of Science degrees in Teacher Education, Child Development, and Cognitive Studies. I also hold two Masters degrees in Early Childhood Education and Special Education and I am certified to teacher. One on One Virtual Dyslexia Therapy / Online Reading Intervention

I provide one on one virtual dyslexia therapy using Take Flight: A Comprehensive Reading Intervention for Students with Dyslexia. The curriculum was created for children who have been identified with Dyslexia. It is an individualized Orton-Gillingham based approach which addresses all areas of language development needed to create successful spellers, readers and writers.

What is Dyslexia therapy?
Intervention for dyslexia directly, explicitly and systematically teaches an awareness of the sounds of language, letter-sound associations, vocabulary and strategies for understanding written language. Guided, repeated practice enables the child to apply what they have learned efficiently. Intensity (e.g., smaller group size, extended length of sessions and treatment, more individualized lessons) is what distinguishes dyslexia intervention from regular reading instruction.

We are retraining the Dyslexic brain by lighting up the parts of the brain that are working well, and helping to compensate for the part that is weaker.

Who can teach Take Flight?
I have been certified to teach Take Flight, only certified practitioners may utilize the Take Flight program. The program was created at the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia & Learning Disorders at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas. It is a highly effective, multi-sensory, explicit, systematic phonetic method of instruction for both reading and spelling. We start at the phoneme level of language, at very basic skills, and progress to the more nuanced skills such as morphology and etymology.

How often do children need therapy?
This program is intended to be taught 5 times a week for 45 minutes each session or 4 times a week for 60 minutes each session. If necessary, we can make accommodations for timing.

Therapy is a marathon, not a sprint.

The Russian language proves to be very challenging for all speakers - even for those born in Russia. However, I have excellent knowledge of the normative literary Russian language thanks to my philological and pedagogical academic training. The major linguistic pair I work with is Russian - English . Although it becomes helpful for the students when I also incorporate references to French or Dutch when needed. As an experienced private tutor and university teacher who understands the struggles of her students, I'm able to find a personal approach to each of them. Our linguistic classes will be enriched with background information about Russia, its history and culture, so that you become even more motivated to master this rich but complicated language. I teach Dutch to children, adapted to the level of the child, the age and the goals that wish to be achieved. The lessons can be given entirely in Dutch, or with explanations and translations in English where necessary (if the child speaks English). With young children I often use cheerful images, games and songs to learn the language in a playful way. From experience, this also works fine online, via video calls.

Thank you for wanting to practice, learn, read or prepare for exams in English. My name is Klaudia and I am an English freak / linguist. I have been teaching children, teens and adults for 5 years. 2016-2017 I had stayed in London where I learned my neutral accent. In 2019, I got TEFL 120h and from one year I teach professionally.

Lessons are always tailored to what you need. I believe in individual attention. What interests you, we'll talk about it in English. I prepare for every lesson and expect the same from you, that's why I always send you emails or messages so that your English stays active in your head even outside of class.

While class we use a number of assistance resources: handouts, interactive media web sites, games, music, comics, books, news and all.

The biggest benefit of my approach is flexibility. I make slots to use in your calendar. The more you take a class, the faster you will see the progress. I think one lesson a week is fine, but one lesson every 2 weeks is an absolute minimum.

Learn quickly when you want and enjoy using English.

I prefer to teach online because of corona, but I will come to you up to 20 km from Amsterdam.

I tutor children at your home, at a location of your choice (max. 10 minutes travel time) or online (from about 12 years). I also teach Dutch: conversation, spelling, grammar, reading, NT2. I listen carefully to what you need and I adapt my lessons to that. I am a patient, flexible and friendly person and I like a bit of lightness in the lesson. I believe that you as a student should enjoy the lesson (at least a little bit), then learning will happen automatically. Because a good result, that is what we strive for together! This is individual Japanese/Japanese language instruction for primary and secondary school students whose native language is Japanese or who are growing up in a bilingual environment.
