Nach erfolgreichem Abschluss der Berufsmatura und anschliessender Gymnasialer Matura (Passerelle), durfte ich für 18 Monate an der ETH in Zürich im B.Sc. Mathematik/Physik Studiengang studieren.

Seit 7 Jahren unterrichte ich Studenten und Schüler aller Altersklassen mit merkbarem Erfolg.

Gerade in der Mathematik und der Physik, aber auch in anderen Fächern, ist die grösste Herausforderung das zu lernende auf das Wissen und das Verständnis des Hilfesuchenden herunter zu brechen. Es also in für ihn verständliche Worte zu formulieren.

Meiner Meinung nach beschreibt das Problem der Meisten das folgende:
Nur wer eine mathematische Gleichung auch verstanden hat, findet selbstständig durch die richtige Denkweise einen der möglichen Lösungswege, die zum richtigen Ergebnis führen. Da an einer Prüfung nie dieselben Aufgaben wie in den Übungen zu meistern sind, bringt die richtige Denkweise einen enormen Vorteil mit sich. Zudem verkürzt das Verständnis der Mathematik und Physik den Zeitaufwand, um sich zukünftig zu lernende neue Stoffinhalte effizient anzueignen.
Mein Ziel ist es also nicht nur dass ein Student beim Lösen der Übungsaufgaben auf die richtige Lösung kommt, sondern auch die richtige Denkweise entwickelt. Dadurch wird er später nicht mehr auf den Nachhilfeunterricht angewiesen sein.

En tant que professeur franco-belge, je propose des cours particuliers de mathématiques (y compris financières), de probabilités et de statistiques.

Je me déplace, si nécessaire, à domicile dans la région de Bruxelles ainsi que dans le Brabant wallon et flamand, avec une durée minimale de cours de 2 heures. Fort d'une grande expérience, je propose de nombreux exercices pour consolider les connaissances. En ce qui concerne les mathématiques, je donne des cours très fréquemment, couvrant l'ensemble du programme du secondaire jusqu'en mathématiques 6 (niveau supérieur). I am specialized (>5 years of experience) in tutoring math for school (any level, but preferably higher level), including competitive exams such as the SAT, GRE, GMAT, and the IIT-JEE.

This class is aimed to train
1) high-school students undergoing VWO or an IB curriculum, who are having problems following math at school or university,
2) Anyone who wishes to take the VWO Math-A/B/C entrance examinations by Boswell or CCVX and wants to train for that.

Personally, I am currently working as a Quantitative Researcher of stock markets, and therefore analytical math is also a part of my job.

Ingénieur en informatique et mathématiques appliquées (doctorat en mathématiques appliquées), je poursuis actuellement un Master en mathématiques. J’ai également complété la formation pédagogique (agrégation) et enseigné les mathématiques au Collège Saint-Pierre (Uccle) ainsi que dans deux Écoles européennes, en français.

Mijn naam is Arjen, en geef bijles en examentraining in wiskunde en natuurkunde voor bovenbouwleerlingen in het middelbaar onderwijs. Met een afgeronde studie Aerospace Engineering help ik leerlingen niet alleen met het oplossen van opgaven, maar vooral met het begrijpen van het "waarom" achter de theorie.

Veel leerlingen lopen vast omdat ze formules proberen toe te passen zonder echt te begrijpen waarom ze werken. Daarom begin ik meestal met een korte diagnose: waar zit het echte knelpunt? Vanuit daar werken we stap voor stap aan structuur en begrip, zodat leerlingen leren hoe ze een probleem kunnen analyseren voordat ze het oplossen. Hierdoor krijgt je zelfvertrouwen een boost, waardoor je zelfstandiger wordt met de stof en jouw progressie zich vertaalt naar de lange termijn.

In mijn uitleg gebruik ik regelmatig voorbeelden uit techniek en engineering. Door abstracte theorie te koppelen aan echte toepassingen wordt duidelijker waar de wiskunde of natuurkunde vandaan komt en waarvoor het nodig is, en valt het kwartje vaak ineens.
