واصلت دراستي العليا في نفس الجامعة، وحصلت على درجة الماجستير في العلوم الصحية – تخصص علم وظائف الأعضاء (Physiology)، وذلك في عام 2025، بتقدير ممتاز ومعدل 3.72 من 4.
خلال مسيرتي الأكاديمية، حرصت على الجمع بين التحصيل العلمي العميق والمشاركة الفعالة في الأنشطة البحثية والتدريسية، مما ساعدني على بناء خلفية علمية قوية ومهارات تواصل وتدريس متميزة.

Hulp nodig bij aardrijkskunde, biologie of chemie? Als burgerlijk ingenieur, 33, help ik je graag verder! Bijleren op jouw tempo en met veel voorbeelden om de leerstof te verduidelijken. Ik heb al jaren ervaring in het leren van eenvoudige en complexe leerstof.

De lessen verlopen als volgt. Eerst gaan we samen op zoek naar de grootste struikelblokken van de student. Deze kunnen gerelateerd zijn aan de leerstof als aan de studiemethode. Vanaf daar werk ik verder op het tempo van de student en moedig ik hen aan zoveel mogelijk vragen te stellen. Ik geef ook tips en trucs, en verbeter hun werkwijze waar nodig. Tijdens de les geef ik veel voorbeelden om de leerstof interessanter te maken en lossen we samen oefeningen op. Eens oefenen uit de les beheerste, ik nog uitdagende oefeningen om ook te testen op het diepere begrip van de leerstof. Op die manier probeer ik de student optimaal voor te bereiden op zijn/haar toets van examen.

Leren moet echter ook aangenaam zijn. Daarom streef ik altijd naar een band met de student door een spontane en positieve aanpak. Verder ben ik ook heel geduldig. Dit alles om de problemen op te lossen en te verbeteren.

Veel ouders herkennen dit: eerst lijkt er niets aan de hand, maar ineens komen er onvoldoendes voor wiskunde, scheikunde of andere exacte vakken. De stof wordt sneller en moeilijker, en leerlingen raken ongemerkt de draad kwijt. Wat begint met één onvoldoende kan snel uitgroeien tot structurele achterstand, stress voor toetsen en een gebrek aan zelfvertrouwen.

Op school is er vaak te weinig tijd om iedereen persoonlijk te helpen. Daardoor blijven sommige leerlingen zitten met vragen die nooit echt goed worden uitgelegd.

Met gerichte en persoonlijke bijles help ik leerlingen om die achterstanden weg te werken en de stof eindelijk écht te begrijpen. Als kindje van 5 wist ik al dat ik ‘Bioloog’ wilde worden. Kennis van wilde planten, schelpen en fossielen kreeg ik op jonge leeftijd al mee via mijn vader, onderwijzer op een basisschool.
Na een aantal jaren werken als analist microbiologie op een ziekenhuislaboratorium, ben ik Biologie gaan studeren in Leiden. Na mijn studie heb ik 10 jaar lang als wetenschappelijk onderzoeker gewerkt bij verschillende universiteiten in Engeland en Amerika. Ook heb ik als onderzoeker gewerkt in het Natural History Museum in Londen.

Eind 2017 ben ik teruggekomen naar Nederland. Door mijn studie, mijn werk als wetenschappelijk onderzoeker en als medisch analist, heb ik een brede vakinhoudelijke kennis ontwikkeld. Ik wil mijn kennis en mijn enthousiasme voor Biologie graag benutten om scholieren en studenten te helpen door middel van bijlessen, examentraining en scriptiebegeleiding.

Verder ben ik een groot natuurliefhebber; ik geef natuurexcursies en ben publieksbegeleider in het Natuurhistorisch Museum in Rotterdam.

Het geven van bijlessen heeft me enorm geholpen om scholieren en studenten maatwerk te kunnen leveren wat betreft begeleiding.
