Technieken waarmee je jouw muzikale ideeën een stem kunt geven! Er is ook de mogelijkheid om te leren over Harmonie en Keyboard Voicings (akkoorden/harmonie en akkoordmelodie). Deze methoden kunnen in de praktijk worden gebracht met Harmonievoortgangen (ook met je eigen composities/liedjes, enz.), om te zien hoe Harmonie werkt met het concept van Functionele Harmonie en verder.

Hoi, Ik ben afgestudeerd als Master of Music aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium te Den Haag en ik heb meerdere projecten als componist/arrangeur en bassist.
Naast een actief leven als muzikant, ben ik docent piano, basgitaar/contrabas, compositie en muziektheorie en ik geef daarin les aan leerlingen van alle niveaus en leeftijden.

Ik maakte arrangementen/composities voor o.a. het Fuse Ensemble (NL) en ik speel live met mijn Jazz Quintet, waar ik bas speel en componeer voor deze band en een cd heb opgenomen, ‘Vortex”.

Die en andere en nieuwe muzikale ervaringen inspireert me om verder te gaan voor verdere ontwikkeling als musicus en blijven mijn muzikale kennis doorgeven aan anderen.

ENGLISH:

Hi, I graduated as a Master of Music at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and I have several projects as a composer/arranger and bass player. Besides an active life as a musician, I teach piano, bass guitar/contrabass, composition and music theory to students of all levels and ages.

I made arrangements/compositions for, among others, the Fuse Ensemble (NL) and I play live with my Jazz Quintet, where I play bass and compose for this band, with which I recorded a CD, ‘Vortex’.

Those and other and new musical experiences inspire me to continue for further development as musician and to pass on my musical knowledge to others.

I am a French historical and modern horn player based in The Hague. I have played the Horn since I was 4 years old and I have two Master's degrees in modern horn and natural horn. I offer you lessons on modern and historical instruments, as well as music theory.

Hello everyone!
My name is João, piano and harpsichord player.
I started playing the piano at the age of 7 years old and, since then, I completely fell in love with all the keyboard instruments and its possibilities of expressivity, the clear sense of making music, interacting with other musicians, for my own pleasure, and for the others. The harpsichord came in my life when I was 15 years old. I absolutely love Classical and Baroque Music and as well as Jazz and Pop.

I started teaching piano at the age of 20 and I must confess that it became a great passion in my life!
I love to see my students improving, getting acquainted with different music styles and motivated.
I'm skilled in teaching kids and adults, beginners or experienced with the keyboard and/or music theory.

Therefore, I use different methods, according to the student's needs and expectations. Each student is special so a lesson can differ, depending on the student's level. Normally, I start with warming up and technical exercises (posture is very important!), a brief music theory contextualisation of what is going to be approached in the lesson and, most importantly, have fun and provide a nice atmosphere during the lesson.

I've graduated in piano and harpsichord at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2007. In 2012 I've graduated in harpsichord at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, obtaining my Master degree at the same institution in 2014. Currently, I'm doing my Ph.D. studies in Performing Arts at Leiden University/Orpheus Instituut Gent. I teach theoretical music studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and, eventually, accompany and coach students from the Young Talent Music Department. In 2014 I've founded the Baroque Music Orchestra Le Concert d'Apollon, taking the lead of harpsichord player and music director.

If you are willing to learn how to play the piano or continue your studies, it will be a pleasure for me to show you how learning a keyboard instrument has so much to add in your life. I can give lessons at my studio in The Hague or travel to your destination. I look forward to meeting you and guide you through the wonderful world of music!

My name is Carla Peña and I come from Barcelona. Since I was a child, music has played an important role in my life. I started learning music when I was 4 years old and cello when at the age of 6. I discovered my love for music and that is what I share with my students.
I have around 15 pupils of all levels and ages and I teach at my own studio (De Constant Rebecquestraat 3) or at your place!
If you are in The Hague area and you want to learn the cello or improve your playing, you are welcome to do lessons with me!

FIRST LESSON:
The first lesson consists of getting to know each other. This is essential to choose the best teaching approach. All the students are unique, that is why I always choose the method that adapts better to your needs. Then, we elaborate a personal plan, depending on your level, expectations, practice time, and taste.

TECHNIQUE:
Learning the proper technique of the instrument is very important to avoid injuries and to be able to express ourselves and perform our musical ideas in a successful way. That is why we learn nice songs in different styles, depending on your taste (from classical to jazz, film music, pop, etc.) and we combine it with cello method books with progressive exercises to improve the cello knowledge.
In the case of young beginners, we also play cello games during the lesson to make the learning experience dynamic and fun! Children can lose attention and get bored very quickly!

Playing together is an essential part of enjoying music. Therefore, the last part of the lesson always consists of playing cello duets and having fun!

ABOUT ME:

I studied my Bachelor in Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona, with professor Amparo Lacruz. Then, I decided to continue my studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the class of Michel Strauss and Jan-Ype Nota.
During my studies in The Hague, I did a teaching internship at the Royal Conservatory as a part of their Minor in Music Education. I also taught in several Music Schools during my studies in Spain.
Currently, I teach private students in The Hague and I created a cultural center in The Hague called Pandora Studio.
I play regularly in two chamber music ensembles: Trio Jakob and Azalaïs Quartet.

I am an American harpist holding degrees in harp from the University of North Carolina, the National Conservatory of France in Lyon, and currently studying at the Koninklijk Conservatorium den Haag. I am happy to teach students of any age and skill level in the Hague area, either at my home or yours! Regardless if you've never recorded your own music or if you've already experimented with Digital Audio Workstations (DAW), this course will teach you the basics of music composition and production. We will use both basic music theory and music production tricks to come up with and create your first song(s). From brainstorming song ideas on the piano or guitar, recording vocals and percussion or adding drums in the DAW, you will have complete freedom over your creativity.

Teacher at Strijkdomain (The Hague), Conservatory in The Hague, Vuurvlinderschool, Geldelandschool en a Het Klooster (Woerden).

I was under the tutelage of the great violin pedagogue Mr. Mauricio Fuks at Indiana University (USA) for 3 consecutive years (2018-2021) becoming his teaching assistant for 3 years (2018-2021). Moreover, I have taught young violinists in Elementary Schools, (e.g. Fairview Elementary School) and also collegiate students in the Jacobs School of Music (US). In Spain, I have teaching experience in several music schools instructing violinists ranging from 3 to 70 years of age. I have also worked with ADHD and autistic students with a great passion for violin playing and music-making.

I hold a master's in Violin Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and in Psychology and Music (UNED). I have an excellent command of English, and Dutch and a good working knowledge of French. I base my teaching method on Suzuki and Galamian methods, which I combine with a wide repertoire of progressive violin pieces.
