Hello! I hope to provide curated lessons that are based on your interests and language ability. While grammar lays the foundation for learning a new language, my lessons will have an emphasis on conversations. As a teacher, I am interested in getting to know my student's interests -- then designing lessons that are relevant to what they enjoy and are curious about. I will also provide native insight into the culture in the USA to generate conversation and cultural exchange!

I am able to meet in person and/or over zoom.

Currently, I am an English teacher at a high school in Toulouse and I look forward to the opportunity to continue making English fun and interesting to learn!

My lessons are all about cultural exchange and making the student feel comfortable to be themself and express who they are in another language!

My teaching style is light-hearted and fun! I usually incorporate videos, games, and art to generate conversation and to activate vocabulary.

As I am an adaptable person, I get along with all personalities types and can adjust to most learning styles.

I really hope to connect with my students and find avenues for learning to best suit their interests. While learning a new language is rigorous, I'm dedicated to making the experience as engaging as possible!

Education

I attended Lewis and Clark College where I double-majored in Art History and World Languages and Literatures. While in college, I simultaneously interned for Art organizations like galleries and museums. Now I am currently based in Toulouse France, where I am an English Language Assistant at a High school.

1. Free Arts NYC/ Corporate Programming Intern Summer of 2019, NYC.
I facilitated and co-organized 41 free art day events for kids around New York City.
2. Volunteered as an English teacher in Nicaragua where I taught all ages and levels in the summer of 2017.
3. Currently working as a TAPIF English Language Assistant in Toulouse, France. I lead 12 conversation classes weekly at Lycée Saint-Sernin.
