I teach preparation classes for Cambridge ESOL exams (FCE/CAE/CPE) and I can also help achieve a high score in IELTS exam. My goal is to keep students challenged but not overwhelmed. I assign homework (especially writing) after every lesson and check students' progress after each Unit. If you do your best and show consistently high performance in class, I can guarantee exceptional results.
I teach using a variety of extracurricular activities - quizzes and games included to make the experience more pleasant and engaging.

I specialize in teaching General English to children and adults. I will create a curriculum that will cater to your needs and abilities.
While you learn the language I will be learning about you - your strengths, aims and interests. I will also be looking out for new materials and ideas to help you in the lesson. There are so many online resources we can use.
Each student is different so I pay close attention to their unique desires, strengths and areas to improve. If you put in some extra effort and achieve consistently high performance, I guarantee exceptional results.
Learning a language is hard, sometimes it is a bit stressful but we can make it pleasant. I am a patient, constructive teacher. Too much stress would be uncomfortable for you and unproductive but if you put in a little bit of effort you will learn a lot and develop your skills.

A qualified language coach with 25 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online.

I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam.
Specialized in guiding for the State Exam I and II. Special exam coach.

In January 2025 I will also start with groups again. We have a great classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near metro station Beurs, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level).

We mainly go for quality and not just running a lesson. I am really involved in the progress of the student. In addition to teaching, I want to do everything to really motivate students to take the next step. That is my strength!

You can also choose the online lesson package with Whereby, Teams or Zoom in a comfortable way. Online classes are one-on-one or maximum one-on-two, for better results.

My English is fluent, as well as Portuguese and Spanish. I understand the difficulties of overcoming barriers for Latin languages and for expats in general, as I have also been an expat.

Online lessons last 75 minutes once a week for 10 weeks to reach a higher level.

This is the normal speed. Including exam training (A-2 or Staatsexamen) and exam at the end.

Intensive training ? That can also be done in five to ten full days, I am used to giving these very intensive trainings to CEOs or managers who want it faster and more intensive ... all lessons within 3 or 4 weeks. Based on the European system A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2 and C-1

As soon as students want to further improve their knowledge of Dutch, I always advise and coach them to take the State Exam I or II, the only formal Certificate in this country, recognized by employers and universities.

I will try to switch to conversation after a few lessons, to put your knowledge into practice as soon as possible. Don't get too caught up in the grammar.

Teaching is my ultimate passion and even after 25 years it feels like the first time and students always feel inspired to overcome the obstacles.

I also teach you about Dutch social culture, which is intertwined in the course and is strongly related to the language.

I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years.
