Hi there! My name is Jingyi Li, please feel free to call me Li or Fiona whichever you prefer!

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Portuguese and a Master's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.

My passion for language studies extends beyond their practical use; they serve as a window to understanding diverse cultures and adopting different modes of thinking. So what is your reason for studying Chinese? Let me know!

Currently, I am also fluent in English and Portuguese. Additionally, I am at the elementary level of high German and can read some French.

-90 minutes each class⏱.
-Classes will be in English or Spanish.
-Sometimes there will be a korean food's day on which you can try them!
-5 years of experience in teaching Korean.

I go through Spanish through cultural topics, gastronomy, music, geography, and politics. After learning English as a second language, I know how important is to approach a language you ́ll like to embrace into your life, from different perspectives.

We can read and follow a book, or practice general practical conversation.

I'm also an official YCT (Youth Chinese Test)/ HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test)/ HSKK (Chinese Proficiency Spoken Test) test examiner.

In addition to giving private lessons, I also teach Chinese at international schools and lead Mandarin immersion Spielgruppe (playgroup) in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. My speciality is teaching children between the age of 2.5 and 12 in an immersive and interactive learning environment. By means of guided game-playing, painting, story-reading, drama activities, song-singing, dancing, and handcraft-making, kids achieve organic language acquisition while having a lot of fun.

The predominant features you will find in my class are tailor-made teaching materials and methods that are customized to best suit your specific study objectives (Preschooler Chinese, K-12 Chinese, YCT, HSK, Beginner Chinese, Conversational Chinese, Business Chinese...etc.).

As a language learner myself (B.A. major in Spanish and currently studying German), I have great patience and willingness to help you on your journey towards Chinese proficiency, because I know how frustrating it could get at times.
