As a former English student and as a scientist I have specialized in tutoring English to students who are encouraged to use the language during their studies. I am really good with helping people writing a CV, motivational letters and practicing for interviews since I have gone through this process myself many times. And preparation works, that is how I got a full-tuition scholarship and ended up studying in Scotland, Greece, and France.
Also due to my scientist interdisciplinary background, I am capable of adapting classes according to the client needs, so regardless if you are a musician or a rocket scientist applying for an internship at NASA, I will gladly help you to acquire both written and oral fluency. Creativity and responsibility are the main core of my classes, get ready to listen to really good music and read good books, no last century audios in this course.

Informations supplémentaires

Because I live in France but go back to Brazil for some coconut water and Sun very often, I am willing to teach you via webcam (we can use Skype or any platform of your choice) either in a video or only audio calls (I know that some of you are shy) or in person if I happen to be on the same continent as you whenever we have a scheduled class. Just have with you your laptop and some bullet points of what you would like the class to explore, more grammar or preferentially conversation practices, which topic (soccer, Star Trek, make up/ beauty, neurosurgery? basically, the sky is the limit here). This will help me prepare for our classes in advance and provide you with exclusive material.

Présentation

As a student myself I am aware of the importance of being an active and motivated teacher. Students will not be keen on spending some few precious hours learning from you if you appear to not enjoy your job, therefore, I see teaching as practicing sports, an action that is more pleasant when you are creative and changing regularly.
I will use my experience as a scientist to bring curiosities into the plate, use the Geek culture to teach in the most fun way as possible, or if what you need is a more entrepreneur set up we will work simulating meetings and interviews. I love movies, books, video games, and I will use my communication skills to find the most efficient way to teach my students.

Education

MSc Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Aquaculture, Environment and Society. Two years of fully-funded scholarship that allowed me to live in Scotland, Greece and France.
BSc in Oceanography.

Expérience / Qualifications

I have experience teaching English to around 7 years old children, and I am honestly starting now with adults, but I have lived in different countries, worked with people from different backgrounds, experience with scientists, businessmen, and women. The secret is to be passionate and patient.
