Contemporary Dance Class and Tutoring - Intermediate / Advanced

Ciar is a recent graduate of Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance; a versatile queer dance artist freelancing in London with a background in Hip-Hop, Circus Arts, Classical Ballet and Contemporary dance.

I hope to offer everyone an exciting and enjoyable time whilst pushing thier physical capabilities. Dance should be fun!

My class explores a choreographic style of contemporary dance with clear influences from Cunningham technique and my recent expirience working with Jason Mabana. The work will challenge your coordination, rhythm, attention to detail and demostrate a contemporary application of classical teachnical forms, but all through explorative and original material.

The class is structured like any other technical class, each exercise desinged to methodicaly warm up and work the body, building on the previous exercises, before culminating in a longer choreography where we can pull everything together and just have a boogie.

I can tailor the work to each student however I would reccomend having some technical expirience, classical or contemporary.

I am a versatile queer dance artist freelancing in London with an equal interest in choreography and performance. I have a background in Hip-Hop, Circus Arts, Classical Ballet and Contemporary dance that feed my choreographic and improvisational practices. I am an easy-going creative and passionate about collaborative environments, currently exploring Non-hierarchical methods of dance making that are inspired by New Materialist Philosophy and London subculture. I thrive in diverse environments and enjoy working with people from various backgrounds, always a keen team player.

First Class BA (Hons) - Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance
Distinction Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dance and Performing Arts - The Brit School
9 GCSEs (All grades 8 - 9 )

Guest teacher at various institutions / festivals internationally. Including Arte Corpo (Belgium), The Brit School (London), Fernando Dominguez Dance Summer Intensive (Mexico).

I am a professional contemporary dancer, and pysical theatre performer from Norway. I have studied contemporary dance, choreography, and physical theatre, in Copenhagen, Spain and England. I also have a lot of training in Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop. After finishing my studies, I have been freelancing around London, and have a lot of exsperience from touring and performing dance, and also creating my own work.

Classes can be tailored to each individual student and their needs and wishes.

I want to teach dance, hoping that I can share my passion, and give this joy to others who want to learn dancing.
Being a very social, passionate, and creative person, I believe I would have a lot to give to my students. My goal would be sharing the joy of dancing, while giving each individual students the tools to grow technically and creatively in a fun and inspiring way.

Dance is my passion and I believe in the power of movement. Ballet might be perceived as difficult and strict, but my teaching approach is making Ballet an expressive, fun, and accessible art form. My teaching is based on french technic, but as someone who traveled a lot due to my professional career, my teaching approach can be eclectic.
Therefore, I will structure my class especially for you, depending on your needs and your goals. No matter if you are looking for better posture, furthering your technic, preparing for an audition, or simply fulfilling a dream, I am here to share my passion, and help you become the best dancer you can be.
Get an extra advantage and choose to get your class in French (as a French native) if you'd like to further your level of the language.

Acting is a variety of opportunities: it's playful, as an actor you can work in different fields, theatre, film, voice-over and radio.
I can help you to grow and be confident to get into the acting school or into work. Furthermore, I can teach you how to be able to work independently on a role.
With children I love to jump into improvisations and see and guide where it goes to create something magnificent.
If you need more confidence in public speaking I am all ears and will help you to gain the confidence.
Moreover, we can work on Radio podcasts as I have over 10 years experience in directing, producing and hosting podcasts.
What ever it is you want to work on, or refresh your knowledge I'll pick you up where you stand.

Depending of the spaces (Webcam or on location) the class would differ.
My main aim is for people to have access to a system of learning through which they can absorb and understand a practice that they could then bring with them wherever and whenever they want.
My way of teaching involves for the moment 17 different chapter, involving improvisation tools (Movement), theatre exercises, stretching and fitness.
All the classes are customised according to the students needs and objectives.

The house dance body class is a dynamic and energizing experience that lets you explore house dance rhythms and movements to a variety of house music (Afrotech, afro house, deep house etc...).

The choreographies are designed to be both accessible and stimulating, encouraging individual creativity while cultivating a group spirit.

In addition to the artistic dimension, this course offers an opportunity to work on coordination and body control, while building muscle and endurance. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, this class is an invitation to excel and enjoy.

For dancers confirmed dancers : I teach class to have a better dance improvisation for competition or something else.

These classes are tailored for your specific needs and desires in order to start you off OR continue your journey on your love for dance/ballet/Pilates/PBT. Including toning techniques, artistry and musicality explanations, dynamic practises and anything else you may want to investigate or expand your potential in this area from a highly qualified and experienced professional ballerina and teacher.

CircadianBodies is a Movement Practice blending contemporary Dance and Capoeira within the context of neuroscience and health of the contemporary body.

A few words about me

I am a dancer & educator with a background in release technique, Capoeira and somatic practices. My work blends improvisation, rhythm, and humour, shaped by both my artistic and scientific backgrounds—I hold a Master of Pharmacy from kings_college_london alongside a professional dance degree form @horohronos Athens and an MA from @theplacelondon. This intersection fuels my exploration of physical intelligence, emotional awareness, spatial connection.

My choreographic work bridges disciplines, from NOSTOS: Migrating Bodies, Migrating Dances, merging Capoeira, Greek traditional dance, and VR, to 'Circadian Bodies', my evolving practice on biological rhythms and sensory movement, now taught at chisenhaledance Dance. I've researched with ferus.animi.terra.nova, bageorgeilias at Dance Athens and farofa_capoeira at Corpo Fechado. I have choreographed projects like 'Khaki Versus Colours’, Pessoas and NOSTOS, exploring socio-political themes through movement.

I’m passionate about making movement accessible—whether in performance, teaching, or community work!
