English Creative Writing, Speech and Innovative Presentation Skills

In a personal learning route you walk on your own level and at your own pace through vocabulary, grammar and especially talking. No school stuff, but a lot of variety to stimulate your GOESTING for the language and give a boost to your self-confidence. YES, YOU CAN! I am a certified language teacher (NL-ENG) with many years of experience in schools, adult education and companies, and consider me a 'language desire architect'. Together we open doors in a creative way, we bring the world a piece of 'on your doorstep'. And, who knows, in the near future you will have a (linguistic) lump richer!

I run private English classes for individuals and siblings. The sessions are designed for beginners and elementary students and are packed with active games, focused activities and stories - all in English. I use reward charts and positive reinforcement to keep students motivated, and use lots of images, hand gestures and expression to help them learn as quickly as possible. The classes are designed for 4 - 7 year olds with a basic understanding / no understanding of English. They can be adapted for older students. I am a British native speaker with an English teaching qualification (CELTA - Pass A: highest grade) from International House London and a BA (Hons) Performing Arts degree (First class: highest grade) from Bath Spa University in England. I have been helping students learn English since 2012, including spending a year teaching English through theatre and creative activities in Beijing.

I am an American living in Leuven, Belgium. I used to be a cheerleader back home in Louisiana, and have always worked with children. I have a master's and bachelor's degree in history and am currently completing a second master's in social and cultural anthropology. Teaching is one of my passions and I would love to be able to share that while living here.

French and English are such beautiful and useful langages. With me you'll be able to practice your writing, reading, listening but also your speaking skills without any judgement. We'll have funny discussions and I'll show you that French is not that difficult. Having langages skills looks great on a CV but also enables you to show off to your friends and family. For children, I had many experiences as an English tutor in France, I would be very pedagogical to help kids learn while having fun.

The course will be adapted to the student's goals, either help with academic classes or to develop speaking, listening, and reading skills. Improve your English with one on one theory classes and practice. I have a TOEFL certificate and an American education. I speak French and Arabic.

As you acquire a new skill or enhance the proficiency of a new language skill, you will be guided in grammar, vocabulary, conversations, dictions and oral articulations to aide you in communicating better with other English speakers worldwide...conversational dates, outdoor excursions & day-day routine exercise can be requested. Test preparations are inclusive! IELTS, TOEFL, General or Academic!

This class is taught using the Oxford method and handbooks. Experienced teacher and, since 2002, a certified translator in Law; Master in Philosophy (KU Leuven), carrying out a philosophy translation project. Classical literature for exemplifying

Economics classes for University level students will be based on student's needs (some suggestions: Econometrics, Microeconomics, Quantitative Economics). For school students, it can involve advanced learning or basic Economic knowledge (aligned to student's needs). English classes will involve writing and speaking practice (based on the student's existing knowledge). I tend to explain things pretty well. I always try to assign homework for further practice. Times can be discussed with me and I do accommodate students based on mutual availability.

I offer classes for two different groups: - Young adults preparing for TOEFL/GRE with sessions focused in solving exercises from the exams and improving the student's skills - Academic English for researchers and people in academia, where we focus on methods, format and language of academic texts. Sessions could be focused on review the student paper A little about myself. I am Ph.D. student in Electronic Engineering at Imec, Leuven. I lived in the USA twice, as an exchange Student at MIT for a year and as a J1 worker at McDonald's for 3 months. I have scored 103 and 112 in the two times I did the TOEFL exam, and I scored at the 99% math percentile in my GRE score. I was born in Brazil, thus Portuguese native speaker, and I have lived in Leuven for two years, so we can communicate in basic Dutch.

As a native English speaking American, I aim to improve my student's breadth of grammar and understanding of the English language through one-on-one and group lessons, advancing from any level. Having spent all my life in the United States, I also can train my students on the American vernacular and culture. I have a minor in English Literature from a college in Chicago.

I specialize in effective communication skills. With english as my native language, i also teach presentation skills, build motivation and look for ways to bring out the best side in my students. I have been a trainer for IELTS, a speaker and mentor at UNODC, and an AIESEC teacher for softskills. This class is a base for people aspiring to be brought to their best capabilities while being emotionally hindered, and the class also promotes the accurate use of english and effective communication. I currently work as a private language teacher in Belgium and I have a good level of English. As I am not a native speaker, I do not give advanced lessons. People from any age, including kids, can follow my English lessons for levels A1, A2 and B1.

ENGLISH BELOW Ik help je graag met het starten met schrijven en/of het verbeteren van je vaardigheden! Of je nu zoekt naar een coach die je begeleidt in en feedback geeft op blogs, columns, korte verhalen, fictie of non-fictie - ik stort me er graag op. Zelf ben ik voornamelijk werkzaam als schrijver van theaterteksten, maar ik heb ook ervaring met het schrijven van liedteksten, literaire vertalingen, essays etc.. Alle teksten benader ik dus vanuit een creatieve insteek en artistieke visie. Als theaterauteur houd ik me ook bezig met hoe een tekst klinkt - klinkt het niet prettig, dan kan hij vast beter geschreven worden. Als coach richt ik me vooral op het geven van feedback op de teksten die je schrijft en help ik je graag op weg met opdrachten om te beginnen met schrijven en/of om het gevreesde writersblock af te schudden. Vind je het fijner om meer stil te staan bij theorie rond het schrijven, dan help ik je daar natuurlijk ook graag bij. /// As a writer (mainly playwriting, but also songs, columns, literary translations and essays) I'm very interested in helping you either to start writing, or to better your writing. We'll work mostly by practicing and discussing your work. If you prefer to zoom in on theoretics, I'm happy to guide you in that as well. I'm a professional playwriter and dramaturg (and studied at LUCA School of Arts with Nico Boon, Freek Mariën and Nathan Vecht). I previously taught playwriting in different groups (CREA, Buitenkunst) and work as a scriptadvisor for professional theatre makers. Besides that, I often help people in writing resumes, papers and thesis papers.

Apart from general English language learning, this type of classes will focus more on English business vocabulary, business writing, business conversation and listening comprehension. This class would be suitable for people who plan (or already do) to study business/economics, want to enhance business skills for the business trips/clients, want to communicate and network effectively with international people in English. For this class I will use several books as materials (popular editions) dedicated to Business English growth. I will involve much conversational practice and discussion activities of specific topics. The material (books, texts, exercises) will be shared with a student. All the classes and preparation for them will be adapted to each student individually. Ik heb een masterdiploma in de talen en studeer ook voor leerkracht. De les kan in samenspraak opgebouwd worden. Het is mogelijk in deze les te focussen op Engels spreken in plaats van schrijven, zodat je snel een vlotte taalstudent wordt. Ook kunnen we verder focussen op een meer schoolgerichte aanpak als je je bijvoorbeeld wil voorbereiden op examens.
