I do not believe in homework and think all the students' understanding can be done in the lesson and activities in that class period.

I want my students to leave my classroom as better people than when they started. I think teaching is about helping the students develop intellectually but also personally. As teachers, we are involved in a very crucial developmental time for students and we have to form our students into the best versions of themselves they can be.
School should be about learning the material but also learning the different nuances of learning that develop a student’s character and create strong-minded and empathic individuals who can take on any task and work hard to get what they want.

I am a University of Cambridge graduate in languages (French and Spanish), Literature and Film, and an UvA post-graduate in Urban and Regional Planning. I have over 5 years of experience in tutoring, and am very passionate about education. In 2023, I've obtained a Master degree in Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. I've achieved the C1+ levels in English, on the CEFR scale. I have 2 years of experience living in London, where I acquired RP (received pronunciation) and 7 years of experience in the International Academia (Amsterdam). My linguistic background gives me the capacity to explain the sounds and various processes of the language, from a perspective many natives do not know. In teaching, I practice the holistic approach. It is my belief that language is for people of every age and education, but I'm aware that everyone deserves a personal approach. In the first session, we always do a needs analysis and become acquainted, to make sure we click as people and will enjoy working away at your personal language goals.
