Conversational English - pronunciation and vocabulary

Conversational English skills are an integral component of fluency. Tutoring sessions with me will focus on pronunciation, understandability, the vocabulary, and usage. As a native English speaker from the United States, my accent is 90% "Hollywood" and 10% "British". If someone has a preference in their accent I can give them the correct pronunciation for either.

When my clients need support with written English, I am happy to assist them as well.

Some clients wish to develop their accent to one that is more easily understood, and we will develop exercises to help them polish the pronunciation they are seeking.

I also work with my clients if they have a hesitancy to speak English. We will work out what is holding them back and we will develop the necessary skills.

It is important to me to offer a calm and supportive session to each of my clients.

My sections are usually remote, however it is possible to have in-person sessions in Kortrijk.

I believe that it's very important to build the curriculum for each client individually. Perhaps someone wishes to expend their vocabulary or another person wishes to develop their accent... I wish for each student to have the experience they wish.

I believe in creating a warm, safe space for people to expand their language skills. I will offer homework but it will not be required; is that if you do not wish to embrace them; I am here to assist you not to judge you.

I love to build a a good rapport with my clients.

In my tutoring sessions we could talk about anything that you find enjoyable. It is safe to talk on any subject that you would wish to expand your language skills.

I have a background in technology, and biology/genetics, medicine, science in general, marketing, art, crafts, cooking, health/exercise, And I'm willing to expand my knowledge to have a conversation with you on a specific topic.

There are no taboo subjects in my tutoring sessions. If you need to know how to discuss this specific topic it will be available for discussion.

University California Santa Cruz bachelors in molecular cellular and developmental biology with my emphasis in immunology in human disease.

92nd percentile for Analytical Writing and Verbal Reasoning sections of the GRE.

Graduate teacher offers an individualized pedagogy, assistance with the preparation of questions or exams. My goal is to advance the student without overburdening him. I give homework after each lesson and periodically provide progress reports.

Hi,

In a rapidly evolving world where knowledge and data continue to expand, it's essential not to overlook real social connections. Helping others has been a significant part of my life since I was a little boy. I am driven to contribute to our society by bringing people together and fostering meaningful connections. This ambition fuels my desire to work towards this goal.

Currently, I am a Belgian student in my second year of Civil Engineering at KU Leuven. However, I have come to realize that this field doesn't align with my passion for human interaction. Hence, I have decided to reorient myself academically and will be starting a degree in Business Engineering in September.

Before I embark on my new academic journey, I want to utilize the next five months to share my knowledge and gain additional skills. I take pride in the quality of education I received at my high school, Heilig Hartcollege Tervuren, and would be delighted to offer study pathway counseling and support to you or your child/teen. I can cover nearly every subject up to university level Civil Engineering.

Student in 2nd year AESI modern languages (English - Dutch), I offer to give private lessons.

My methodology is based on active pedagogy, self-confidence, listening, sharing and autonomy.

I start from the needs of the student, I make a point with him so that we can together set goals and do everything possible to achieve them.

Not being a big fan of textbooks, I prefer to build my own lessons, specific to each student and according to their needs.

I offer fun teaching techniques that are less like what we do at school to facilitate learning. In language classes, I focus a lot on learning through speech. For me, learning should not be boring but entertaining. I offer online courses, at my home as well as yours. I can teach in Dutch, however, it is not my native language. I can give lessons in mathematics, French, Dutch, math, history, science and geography for students from 3 to 16 years old. I also give the basics in these subjects for adults as well as French, Dutch and English lessons at all levels.
