Can I introduce myself?
I am Marc pianist and sound engineer.
I started my piano lessons with Leo Caerts jr. After secondary school piano in the municipal music conservatory of Leuven and private lessons from Erwin Deleux I followed the (Russian school) method. I am a student of A. Mogilevsky (student of the gifted professor Timakin) and Youlia Zaichkina. I also participated in masterclasses with prof. Alan Fraser and Fabrice Eulry and I perfect myself in classical harmony and composition with Erika Budai.
I give piano lessons classical and jazz / pop, jazz harmony, classical harmony and this for beginners as well as advanced and all ages. Highly sensitive people are welcome. The lessons are given in a very professional environment.
I would like to share my passion with you!

About Me

Marc J was born on April 21, 1964 in Leuven. At the age of 16 he starts his piano studies with a childhood friend Leo Caerts junior. A degree in electronics, military service and a social career did not prevent him from intensively improving his piano playing. He obtained his secondary education with Lieve Gythiel at the Municipal Conservatory for Music, Word and Dance in Leuven. Marc also takes lessons with Monique Van Normelingen at the Alexander Technique Center in Leuven.
During the International Summer Academy of Belgium, Marc follows several music internships with professor Evgeny Mogilevsky and Olga Roumchevitch. Olga Roumchevitch praises his talent and offers him the opportunity to continue his studies with her son. Since 2000 Marc has been studying with Alexander Mogilevsky and Youlia Zaitchkina. Alexander Mogilevsky is a gifted teacher. His unique way of teaching is based on the teaching method of the famous professor Evgeny Timakin. Marc puts it this way: “The Timakin method demands the best of my abilities and rewards me with wonderful results in my piano playing and in other areas of my life.”
Marc's repertoire covers classical works, jazz and light music. Marc gives private piano lessons and organizes house concerts on request. In Marc's studio and piano space are works of art by Chantal Bietlot, Chris Miseur, Jan Bollaert and Doni.
Partly due to the enthusiasm of piano tuner Danny Boddin, Marc plays on a Blüthner concert grand from 1890 with a 'Precision Touch Design'.
