English Literature is an essential skill used for English gcse which I have spent a lot of detail looking in to and I - myself changed my own gcse grades drastically using a lot of time and grade specific research. I specialise very confidently in Macbeth, an Inspector calls and Christmas Carol, however research for other topics will be covered in detail before we begin sessions. I intend on supporting my students with mindmaps, pushing them to explore deeper meanings which the examiner may have not heard and also grading exam answers. I want to make this as affordable as I can as I myself was once in this position and any student is capable of drastically changing their grade. I am very passionate about this subject and want other people to see the joy in it too. We can also cover love and relations poetry or war/conflict.

Sociology is another subject I’m extremely passionate about and genuinely enjoy, I intend on going through exam papers and making mind maps and analysis on key sociologist and theories. I studied family, research methods and crime at gcse and (currently) second year on sociology A level studying education, family and households and crime this year.

English is my native language, I read a lot of poetry and have taught some family members English in our own ESOL style type of class so I am willing to help anybody else who may be struggling

Cours au domicile de l'élève :
  • Autour de District londonien d'Islington, Royaume-Uni
Présentation
I am a young student who has had difficulty in terms of education and getting the grades I need to do my dream subjects for college. Within a few months and very hard work I managed to change my grades drastically from 1/3’s to 7’s in a matter of 4 months. If I had been given more time, these grades could have been even better which is why I want to invest the time I have now into another student. I want to be there for other students who feel like they will never achieve or be one of the “smart” students as everybody is capable no matter what class or background you hold. I want to help somebody else who may be struggling and just need a little push from someone in a similar age group to them.
Education
I am currently studying at my second year of A levels, doing sociology, politics and psychology. Previously, I went to an all girls school and done the standard subjects (Maths, English, Rs etc) and gcse history, sociology and health and social care

In a multicultural work like ours, where most of the world is bilingual, knowing a second language is always an asset, and it helps you develop your cognitive capacities.

Learning a new language can sound difficult and scary. Well, think again!

I've been in your shoes, and I have found that learning a second language is much easier if you link it to something you already enjoy. In my classes, you will improve your speaking, reading, listening, and comprehension through practical exercises around a subject you enjoy, whether that is History, Sciences, Arts, or Sports.

Sébastien will teach you English as a second language through a variety of staple cultural themes including Music, Arts, Cinema, Literature and traditional cooking.
As well as being a language tutor, Sébastien has a Masters in Arts and a few years professional chef experience up his sleeve.
Sebastien currently lives in London and benefits from 18 years residency in the UK during which English has become his most practiced language. He too had to go through trials and error, and if he managed to catch the British accent so will you.
With a method emphasising on conversation, Sébastien will adapt to your level and centres of interest. Together you will set manageable goals that will serve your personal and professional ambitions.

I am a professional dancer and language enthusiast, with a passion for teaching. Fluent in English, Spanish, French and Norwegian. I am a university student currently working on a degree in Spanish language and literature and history of the Spanish speaking world.

I can help you whether you are a beginner wanting to learn a new language, preparing for an internship or studies abroad, or if you are in school and need some help preparing for tests and exams.

My teaching is tailored to each student and how they best learn. My goal is to keep all my lessons fun, interactive and dynamic, with a focus on efficient learning and motivation. Being a professional dance artist with experience from teaching dance, I believe gives me a creative approach to tutoring language.
Why do I want to work as a tutor? Because I want to share my love and passion for the language and the joy it brings me with my students. Having studied Spanish all through my years in school, I know that learning a language in school can be challenging, and I want to help with that.

For people wanting to use french in everyday situations, I propose the communicative approach, focus on communication rather than grammar structures. This approach takes the focus off the language by stressing the content. The idea is to communicate fluently.
(If you were to learn how to repair a bicycle, for example, you would learn bike vocab then would then be able to communicate in French by using the relevant vocabulary and conveying their feelings, ideas and thoughts.)

For students wanting to learn French in a more literate approach, I propose analytic lectures of French classics, or any desired text. This can help for more elaborate grammatical structures and thorough vocabulary.
In addition to strengthening a more distinctive way of expression, you'll enhance your French culture

As a recent graduate from a Master degree in teaching English, with 5 years of experience tutoring French children and students privately. During my two years of master, I taught English to secondary school students.
The theory and the practise, allowed me to develop my teaching skills and through tutoring I have learned to tailor my teaching methods to the student’s needs.
Moreover, throughout my years of tutoring, I could gave back the confidence that students were lacking in their education, which led to one of my students to obtain her “brevet” equivalent of the English GSCE with a high grade.
The success was hinged through the learning material that I created. Indeed, I produced my own lesson plans and I provided weekly progress homework.

A comprehensive English class for beginners to advanced! Taught by a native English speaker and lessons can be in Italian or French. We will be speaking English for most of the class, you will have speaking practice every lesson as well as listening, reading and writing which I will correct and mark. We will have grammar lessons and I will explain common mistakes you make, as well as taking you through complicated pronunciation or grammar rules.

I have an excellent understanding of language, I grew up speaking English and Italian, and I learnt French at school, so I understand how language should be taught and what some common difficulties are. I am also learning Turkish and hopefully soon I will be able to teach in Turkish.

I specialise in tutoring French and/or English for school just as well for higher education levels or different age groups. As a native speaker in both languages and as a linguaphile who took interest in learning other languages such as Spanish and Arabic, I am aware of the struggles that might come with attempting to learn a new language. For my students, I would start off by evaluating where they are at in terms of their level of speaking just as well as writing, in order to know what to work on and what they've already mastered. I would provide homework, just as well as challenges to place them in real life situations where they would have to use their skills and knowledge. In addition to this, providing a feedback on what they've accomplished, what needs further improvement and work.
