I can help students with their piano exams and theory exams. I also have experience teaching beginner students. My goal is to inspire people with music so that they find joy in playing an instrument and in the lessons. I also aim to make every student coming out of the lesson feel motivated to practice and want to do their best.

I am a classically trained experienced musician with a strong background in orchestral performance, I started studying music since I was 5 years old. I have been teaching flute, saxophone, clarinet, piano, music theory and folk woodwinds for more than 15 years. I build lessons based on my students' needs and adapt the program to each individual, so together we can achieve great results and enjoy creating beautiful music. I specialise in teaching music composition, production, and piano. I have a BA from the University of Oxford in Music, and I am a professional TV and Film composer. I am also able to teach music theory, history, and ear training. My goal is to create lessons that help my students to get an interactive, un-intimidating, and fun filled musical education. I believe that this comes from learning not just one area of music, but by giving students the tools to be confident in any musical setting they choose. I teach all ages and levels of musical ability. As I have a wide background in music, I am able to give a rounded music educate in the area you choose to specialise in! I have experience performing classical, funk, jazz, and pop and would love to share a whole range of different styles with you.

Developing an understanding and knowledge of music theory helps musicians at all levels to perform confidently and interpret the music with ease. In preparing for a music theory exam you grasp the fundamentals of rhythm, harmony and melody which is essential for good musicianship. If you're taking a Practical or Performance Grade 6, 7 or 8, you must pass Grade 5 or above in Music Theory before you book your exam to make sure that you have the understanding you need to interpret and perform music at these higher grades. My classes are for the beginner to intermediate level musicians and I will cover everything you need for music theory exams up to Grade 5 theory.

Music Theory can be daunting, or even boring. With over a decade of professional experience as a teacher, copyist/arranger, performer & composer, I can teach you or your child Music Theory in a bitesize, friendly way. This class would be ideal for those who are: - studying for any theory exams with ABRSM or Rockschool/Trinity, from Grade 1 all the way up to Grade 8. - applying to a college/university degree programme where they might need to brush up on their theory knowledge or qualification - an enthusiastic or gifted musician in practice, who wants to contextualise and bolster their general understanding with the 'whys'/'hows' of music, and not just the 'whats'.

As an educator, Fiachra is focused always on finding the way of making music which suits each of his students best, with a confident and comfortable way of working with the instrument (which then transfers into the rest of life). He has been praised for his patient and compassionate approach, and an openness and freedom which he shares in his performance. Fiachra's has experience preparing students for the ABRSM exams in violin and viola, and music theory. When teaching young children, he makes use of imaginative imagery and games to help explain concepts in a way that children can understand. I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. The lessons (live or online) take place in my studio next to the Maastunnel, where I have a premium stage piano and a top-quality webcam setup. I speak Dutch at an intermediate level, which is improving every day.

The older I get, the more I love. Especially during these times of immense ugliness and hate, wars and conflict, music- that's always been all about love - is the home I keep returning to. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else.
