My name is Maria. I am a singing coach who currently lives in The Hague. I have a passion for music and I would like to share this passion with you! Let's sing together! ;)

In my singing lessons we will work on:

I am Maria (my stage name is Mari Ova), a Russian-born fusion-jazz singer, and songwriter currently living in the Netherlands.
I began performing on the stage when she was 5 years old.

I am the winner of more than 74 International and All-Russian music competitions and festivals, which took place in Russia, Israel, Sweden, Armenia, and Belarus. In addition, I was the participant in in-person auditions TV projects “Voice” (Russia) and “Voice UK” (The United Kingdom).

At different times, I had opportunities to work, perform with, and take lessons from:
Jeff Ramsey, Dennis Mongomery III, Patrice Williamson, Freddie Bryant, JD Walter, Michelle David, Joris Teepe, Danny Grissett, Marjorie Barnes, Kurt Elling.
In October 2020 I became a member of the Russian Music Union and in September 2021, I released my 1st EP album “About Life Through Music”

Moreover, in October 2021 I became a member of Jong Metropole for the “Higher Ground” project with Michelle David (vocal/USA) and Ansgar Striepen (conductor/ Germany).

Besides my vocal career, I like teaching and I very like to share my knowledge and experience with others. I like to inspire students, discover a new side of their voice!

I am a French historical and modern horn player based in The Hague. I have played the Horn since I was 4 years old and I have two Master's degrees in modern horn and natural horn. I offer you lessons on modern and historical instruments, as well as music theory.

I work with all ages, all levels, and all objectives, and I can even work with other brass. If you want to discover the instrument or perfect it, if you need theory support or practice help, I will adapt my methods to your needs to offer you quality musical time!

I am a recorder and classical singing student at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague. I have experience with teaching the recorder to students aged 4 to 60 years old.

My lessons are characterized by a relaxed atmosphere and I find it important to listen to the wishes of my students and adapt my lessons to their personal needs. For the younger students, I aim to teach a combination of recorder technique and posture, music theory and singing and stimulate their creativity in a playfull way. In this way they become acquainted with all aspects of music making. I also aim to incorporate ensemble playing in my lessons, together with me or with other students.

My name is Carla Peña and I come from Barcelona. Since I was a child, music has played an important role in my life. I started learning music when I was 4 years old and cello when at the age of 6. I discovered my love for music and that is what I share with my students.
I have around 15 pupils of all levels and ages and I teach at my own studio (De Constant Rebecquestraat 3) or at your place!

FIRST LESSON:
The first lesson consists of getting to know each other. This is essential to choose the best teaching approach. All the students are unique, that is why I always choose the method that adapts better to your needs. Then, we elaborate a personal plan, depending on your level, expectations, practice time, and taste.

TECHNIQUE:
Learning the proper technique of the instrument is very important to avoid injuries and to be able to express ourselves and perform our musical ideas in a successful way. That is why we learn nice songs in different styles, depending on your taste (from classical to jazz, film music, pop, etc.) and we combine it with cello method books with progressive exercises to improve the cello knowledge.
In the case of young beginners, we also play cello games during the lesson to make the learning experience dynamic and fun! Children can lose attention and get bored very quickly!

Playing together is an essential part of enjoying music. Therefore, the last part of the lesson always consists of playing cello duets and having fun!

ABOUT ME:

I studied my Bachelor in Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona, with professor Amparo Lacruz. Then, I decided to continue my studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the class of Michel Strauss and Jan-Ype Nota.
During my studies in The Hague, I did a teaching internship at the Royal Conservatory as a part of their Minor in Music Education. I also taught in several Music Schools during my studies in Spain.
Currently, I teach private students in The Hague and I created a cultural center in The Hague called Pandora Studio.
I play regularly in two chamber music ensembles: Trio Jakob and Azalaïs Quartet.

I am an American harpist holding degrees in harp from the University of North Carolina, the National Conservatory of France in Lyon, and currently studying at the Koninklijk Conservatorium den Haag. I am happy to teach students of any age and skill level in the Hague area, either at my home or yours! I am able to teach all styles of playing from classical to jazz and pop, and I am happy to cater my teaching to the interests of the student. I am fluent in English and French.

I have been playing cello for 19 years. Over the years I played in various settings: chamber music (small ensembles like trios, quartet), bands (new music), solo and orchestras such as the Nationaal Jeugdorkest and Jong Metropole (national youth jazz orchestra).
I love to play classical music but also some jazz, funk or pop! I like to play with people, create music together, improvise... And I hope this is something I can also pass on to my students!

After teaching music theory for two years in a french conservatory, I realised how much teaching is very important for me and helps me to grow as a musician. I like to adapt to the student and try to find a solution in any pedagogical situation.
I can teach all cello and singing levels, and all ages. I can also give some music theory lessons.

Hi! I'm a French violinist currently in my 4th year of a classical violin Bachelor at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, and I hold a DEM (Diplôme d'Études Musicales) from the CRR de Paris (Regional Paris conservatory) where I studied with Florin Szigeti.
I’ve had the opportunity to participate in masterclasses with Josef Spacek, Pavel Vernikov, Olivier Charlier, Igor Volochine, Marianne Piketty, and I love sharing everything I’ve learned from them through my own teaching.

I have experience with Orchestra and chamber music as well. I had the pleasure of participating in a side by side project with the Orchestre Philarmonique de Radio France and play in various prestigious settings.
