GregoryPrivate Lessons in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology
About my service I provide coaching for students in the area of science and mathematics. The lessons are designed to enable students to improve their understanding of the school subjects and thus their grades. The target audience are students from primary school up to high school. The lesson is usually roughly structured in three parts: - Together with the student I go over the homework, or the work that was done during the last questions are answered and facts explained. - The learned concepts are applied repeatedly to problems and exercises to fortify the understanding and help the student become more at ease with applying them. - If the time and the situations allows it, the student is prepared for his next lesson at school so that he or she will be able to follow it better. In addition to the subject matter I try to teach how to learn, which is a skill that is sadly not often taught at school. This includes, amongst others, how to organize, how to take notes, how to memorize facts and formulas and how to prepare for exams. This provides a longer lasting benefit for the student. I am also comfortable with students and pupils with rather severe difficulties such as dyscalculus (basically dyslexia for maths) and fear of school or aggravated lack of motivation. With these students I make sure to take my time, without putting them under pressure, and explain facts in simple words until they are certain to have understood them. As I am equally fluent in English, German and French, the lessons can take place in any of those languages. My experience I have around 10 years of experience giving private lessons. My youngest student was 6 years old, my oldest 47. Over the years I was able to help well over 1oo students improve their grades. At first I started giving lessons to single students but then moved on to also teach groups of up to 8 students. I am quite familiar with the syllabus of the "Ecole Internationale" here in Geneva (both Grande-Boissière and Nations) as I have had many students from there.
RobinExcel VBA course for all levels. Save time by automating your files
I beg you to believe that in a lot of companies, I've heard, "We do like that because Excel can not do it." It could have been Access ... Anyway, that's the typical example of the company adapting its processes to its work tools. Which is nonsense! Although I grant you this, you have to know how to be conciliatory about computer technologies. Fortunately the VBA is here! This programming language will allow us to write macros in view: Automate repetitive and iterative tasks. Manage and reduce the risk of errors. To optimize treatment times. To design personalized user interfaces. To create specific treatments not available natively in software. To develop the potential of Office Suite applications. Exchange data between the different applications of the Office suite. It should be noted that in general the learning is done only on Excel or Access. Although this is not the reference in terms of programming language, it has certain advantages: Accessible and intuitive. A fairly flexible syntax and a relatively well-designed and effective editor. Performance and quite stable. In case of difficulties, a large community that can always be solicited via the Internet. Without out-of-the-box, the VBA is a programming language more than correct that allows to develop applications for professional use in order to facilitate the life of the users and to answer to the problems that many companies meet in the data processing.
