I believe everyone should, at some point in their life, be exposed to a degree of music education. As a guitar player, I have spent 15 years playing and over 6 years teaching, and sharing this belief with audiences and pupils alike.

All of my guitar lessons are tailored entirely to the individual student.

Graded and non-graded pathways are both considered, and I work with each pupil to decide which course is right for them.

We can consider on any aspect of guitar and music making you like:

I have a 100% success rate from my exam entrants, and have taken pupils to Grade 8 and beyond.

Hi! My name is Jack Louis (BA, LLCM), and I'm a London based guitarist, singer and educator, currently studying for a Masters Degree in music performance at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

I have performed extensively across venues in the UK and abroad - working in a vast range of musical situations. As an in demand session musician, I've performed across Europe with a vast variety of acts, old and new. To date, these include: Jeff Beck, Roger Daltrey, Roger Taylor, Tom Robinson, Kiki Dee, Mel C, Justin Hawkins and many more. Alongside these established acts,I often perform my own compositions regularly as part of the original bands North America, TALMA and ENNOR.

I'm a highly experienced teacher, with over 5 years professional experience of both 1-1 and group tuition, working most notably at the prestigious Cheam School in Hampshire, where I was Director of Music Technology.

My name is Juan Ignacio. I'm a multi-instrumentalist, guitar technician (I repair/build solid body and chambered guitars), music tutor and producer/mixer.

I have 23 years of experience as a guitarist and 18 of them have been as a guitar tutor (beginner, intermediate and advance).

I can teach you at my private studio or at yours. Each lesson will be unique, fun and creative. I will provide you tools which can be applied to songs you love, while we'll be also working on developing important skills such as improvisation, understanding music theory, chords, scales and much more.

BIOGRAPHY:

Juan was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of nine he started teaching himself how to play guitar, bass, keyboards and drums; before joining local bands and performing around the country.

After studying sound engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Lanús, he worked as a live sound engineer and separately on a number of music productions in his home studio. He also trained as a luthier/guitar technician, building and repairing stringed instruments alongside his father, using his surname as a brand.

In 2014 Juan moved to London to develop his skills and connections. His passion and commitment to music led him to working at guitar repair workshops around the capital city, including Camden Town and the well-known Denmark Street. He repaired guitars for artists like the legendary Jarvis Cocker (Pulp), Mercury Prize-winner Michael Kiwanuka, Grammy-winners Mumford & Sons, and King Krule. He later taught Brit Award-winners Bastille how to play the traditional rhythms of his home country.

In 2017, Juan started composing a wide range of music genres for all kinds of audio-visual media productions, including advertising campaigns for: Samsung, Coca-Cola, MasterCard, Nesquik, Avon and Breil

At the same time, he played with a host of different bands as a guitarist, and busked around town. Juan was hired to work as a guitar technician at Abbey Road on live recording sessions. During this period spent in the studio, mastering engineer Wharton spotted Juan’s potential and encouraged him to focus more of his attention on writing, releasing and performing his own material

Being an electric guitarist requires a lot of technical skills, fine motor skills, knowledge of the instrument, but above all expressiveness. To be a great guitarist and perform on stage as Hendrix did, you will not only need a lot of practice, but also to be very clear about where you want to go and have the specific tools at hand to achieve this goal.

Hello, my name is Sebastián, I have been a guitarist for 20 years, I have a master's degree in education and 10 years of experience teaching music.

I have designed this course to cover various techniques (alternate picking, legato, tapping, vibrato, bending, arpeggio, sweep picking, chord inversion, etc.), theory (scales, chords, harmony), knowledge of the fretboard, improvisation, and expression.

I always make sure all pupils enjoy their lessons giving a friendly and fun approach to them. Regardless of age and skill level I want my students to be able to enjoy their time practicing and playing. I can prepare students for all grades of the ABRSM or other boards exams and I complement the lessons with music theory and aural skills training when needed. I can also offer music theory lessons that being to complement music education, prepare for the ABRSM music theory exams or just to expand the knowledge in that area.
The approach for in-person and online tuition are quite similar. I effectively teach using both methods with great results in both. When online, I make sure they are of exceptional quality and the pupil gets the same results they would get in person. They are ideal if traveling is a limitation for the student or just want to take them from the comfort of their home using their own instrument.

My name is Andrea, I have recently concluded my Artist's Master in keyboard instruments at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. My passion for music induced me to apply in the “Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria” in the course of Harpsichord as my principal study. After 10 years studying music and obtaining the diploma of “Grado de Enseñanzas Profesionales” in the conservatory, I developed a deep interest for Classical and Early music for keyboard instruments.

Discovering a historical and musical universe, I decided to continue my performing and theoretical investigation studying the bachelor course in keyboard instruments including piano, harpsichord and organ. I had the amazing opportunity to obtain a scholarship and study at the "Conservatorio Tartini di Trieste", in Italy. Working with exceptional teachers, i was able expand my linguistic abilities and cultural appreciation for the expressive diversity of Keyboard music. I have discovered the magnificent variety between many composers all around Europe and the distinct features and techniques they utilized to improvise and to embellish their pieces. During this artistic journey, i have had extraordinary performance experiences as a soloist including playing at the Parlament of Brussels and the National Gallery in Bosnia. Recently, living in London has inspired me to take part in a wide variety of exciting projects such as performing as a keyboard accompanist in Opera Scenes and with the Guildhall Baroque Orchestra in the Milton Court Concert Hall.
