I have been playing the piano for 13 years. I have always loved learning the instrument and music in general. I teach beginner classes for any age, however, most of my experience is teaching children.

I teach classical piano. I can teach for whatever ends are desired, be that going through the ABRSM grades or just playing for fun.

Learning music can be quite frustrating particularly when few teachers intertwine musical theory with instrumental proficiency in a comprehensive manner. Normally the focus is on one or the other and I personally found this quite frustrating. I always felt the best way was to learn both alongside each other - that is to apply musical knowledge to the instrument and to have the knowledge to appreciate and understand the music that is being played. The best part is this can all be done at the keyboard, keeping playing the piano a fun activity and not a chore.

In this class, we'll be looking at the necessary building blocks of the modern guitarist. These topics will include chords, melody, guitar technique, composition and improvisation. Whether you look to implement these skills in jazz or rock, the skills learnt here are applicable to all genres of music.

I offer classes for beginners of guitar, bass, piano, drums, music theory, and music production.
My aim with these classes is to give the freedom of expression through the instrument and the knowledge of music to the student as soon as possible enough to be able to jam comfortably with friends at first and add the most complicated subjects once established confidence and passion, I often use music and philosophy to explain each other during lessons cause I'm really passionate about both and I personally often used music rules to compared to real-life to understand the way they both works.
I have a studio where I can give my lessons, especially for drummers and a piano at home if you don't have one.
If the student has the instrument and a place where to have lessons I'm also up to come to that place to let the student be in its comfortable environment.

Juan was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of nine he started teaching himself how to play guitar, bass, keyboards and drums; before joining local bands and performing around the country.

After studying sound engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Lanús, he worked as a live sound engineer and separately on a number of music productions in his home studio. He also trained as a luthier/guitar technician, building and repairing stringed instruments alongside his father, using his surname as a brand.

In 2014 Juan moved to London to develop his skills and connections. His passion and commitment to music led him to working at guitar repair workshops around the capital city, including Camden Town and the well-known Denmark Street. He repaired guitars for artists like the legendary Jarvis Cocker (Pulp), Mercury Prize-winner Michael Kiwanuka, Grammy-winners Mumford & Sons, and King Krule. He later taught Brit Award-winners Bastille how to play the traditional rhythms of his home country.

In 2017, Juan started composing a wide range of music genres for all kinds of audio-visual media productions, including advertising campaigns for: Samsung, Coca-Cola, MasterCard, Nesquik, Avon and Breil

At the same time, he played with a host of different bands as a guitarist, and busked around town. Juan was hired to work as a guitar technician at Abbey Road on live recording sessions. During this period spent in the studio, mastering engineer Wharton spotted Juan’s potential and encouraged him to focus more of his attention on writing, releasing and performing his own material

In my classes, we will focus on establishing, building on and fine-tuning both these areas whatever level you're at. We'll tackle each angle of music theory (melody, harmony, rhythm, arrangement, etc) as well as looking at the histories of musical composition in both the Western musical canon and beyond. As a musician, composer, performer, and sound engineer, I have an extensive knowledge of all aspects of music - technical, creative, professional, performance - and will tailor my lessons toward my students' specific interests within these wide-reaching areas.

In my lessons, I adopt a personalised approach tailored to each student's unique musical tastes and aspirations. My objective is to establish a strong foundation while fostering a deep connection between the student and the music they love, ensuring that lessons are both comfortable and enjoyable.
