With a Master's degree in Violin Performance and Pedagogy (Russian school of violin playing), I love to share my knowledge and passion for violin by introducing the instrument to young children in a playful and easy-to-learn way; as well as helping violin students develop a relaxed and natural way of playing and guide them through performance process (dealing with stage fright and high pressure).
Since everyone is unique, I make an individual approach accordingly.
Classes are being held in English and Croatian.

A young violinist with experience in teaching and performing (solo performance, chamber music, orchestra member).
First and second prize winner at state and international competitions.
The love for music motivates me to teach others and share my knowledge that I've gained through 15 years of playing the violin; in hopes to inspire and give guidance to other violin students.

Education

Graduated with Master's degree in Violin Performance at the Arts Academy of the University of Split with distinct recognition. Later continued studies at Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien and Royal Conservatory Antwerp.
Learned from world-renowned violinist such as E. Epshtein, P. Jasiurkowski, T. Samouil and B. Brovtsyn.

Arabic Lute or Ud plays a very prominent role in Arabic music: people call him the 'sultan' of the Arabic instruments.
In these lessons we will approach the traditional instrumental repertoire with original point of view, Egyptian school, Iraqis school and Moroccan school, analyzing ornaments and elements of virtuosity.

Kristie Su is an international concert violinist, concertmaster, chamber musician, and recitalist who regularly performs in venues such as Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Bozar Brussels, Kölner Philharmonie, and Müpa Budapest. She graduated summa cum laude from Rotterdam Conservatory under Igor Gruppman. In addition to performing, Kristie mentors violinists of all ages, preparing them for competition, conservatory, and auditions.

First, let's remember what we're talking about. Music is and always has been inherent in all human societies. It has many roles and is a very powerful language. It's a universe in itself...

Music, and the violin in particular, brings me enormous joy every day. In fact, joy is, in my opinion, the greatest source of motivation given to us on earth. So, quite logically, I place it at the heart of my lessons.

It would be an illusion to pretend that learning to play the violin is a simple matter! So I accept the challenge, often neglected, to do everything I can to convey my enjoyment of playing the violin. By the way, as I just wrote, in French you don't say "travailler le violon", you say "jouer du violon". So even though the road is hard, I will do everything I can to make it fun.

My lessons are adapted to all levels, ages and profiles.

Together with each student, I strive to find the most suitable tests, so that everyone learns as effectively as possible and, above all, with pleasure!

I attach great importance to the correct use and well-being of the body. Playing the violin not only involves the cerebral and the emotional, it is also a complex physical exercise! For those who have already had lessons, I try to consciously or unconsciously replace bad habits learned with good ones, and for beginners to immediately install the correct automatisms.

I give individual lessons. But sometimes I bring students together to learn to play together and perform in public. Attending other people's lessons can also be very helpful in gaining a better understanding of the various mechanisms of the violin.

After completing my Bachelor's degree in violin at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, I did a year of Erasmus at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, in Germany. From September, I will start my Master at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen.
Discovering new ways of learning is very important to me. I like to seize opportunities and meet inspiring musicians during Masterclasses in Belgium and abroad.
Perseverance and work, while respecting oneself, are for me the keys to long-term progress.

Hi! I am Arianna and I am an Italian Violinist based in Antwerp. 🎻

I am a Master graduated classical musician, working in orchestra and chamber music ensembles. I’d be happy to share music with you!

Didactic has always been an important aspect of my life, growing up in the music school of my family where I started playing violin at 3 years old.
I am a teacher with experiences in both private and public schools for children, teenagers and adults of all levels. We will learn violin technique, explore music theory and reading in order to have a full preparation for whatever your goal is.

PLUS: Level 4 Suzuki Method Trained Teacher. Known as the “Mother Tongue Method”, Suzuki is specifically made to start the learning of music with children in a pre-scholar age from 3 years old, for the enrichment of all family!
