Lessons are specifically tailored to the needs of each student, with a focus on their personal requests. I offer various approaches — teaching, coaching, mentoring. My lesson style ranges from diving into music theory and analysing great music works of the past, to developing a musical concept for your compositions and working on your personal style.

I am proficient in jazz arranging and composing, classical orchestration and composition, jazz and classical theory, solfege, rhythmics, as well as working within interdisciplinary fields — combining different art forms with music.

I offer a wide range of possibilities — writing your own compositions/songs; arranging for a big band (or any other ensemble); songwriting; working with strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion.

I am also working with Sibelius as a software, so I can teach you to use it.

The lessons are designed to meet your personal musical interests and goals. Whether you're drawn to the structure and beauty of classical music or the improvisational freedom of jazz, I can guide you through both worlds.

In classical lessons, we’ll focus on developing strong technique, understanding music theory, and exploring works from famous composers. If you’re more interested in jazz, I’ll introduce you to improvisation, chord progressions, and learning to express your own musical voice.
My approach is flexible and based on where you are as a musician. I believe in creating a supportive, relaxed environment where you can feel comfortable exploring your creativity and growing at your own pace.

Lessons are focused on not just playing the piano, but understanding and enjoying the music you play. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to deepen your skills, I’ll help you develop both your technique, phrasing, expressiveness. and your musical ear.

My name is Waldemar and I am a classical piano teacher.
I teach young (from 8 years old) and old, individually or in groups.

I received my training from Fania Chapiro in Hilversum and later at the Amsterdam Conservatory with Danielle Dechenne.

Depending on your level, we will in principle cover all aspects of technique and interpretation. You can always make special requests known to me.
In addition, I think it is important to structure the lessons and focus on themes so that you really learn something.

In addition to being a piano teacher, I am also available as a composition, music theory or solfege teacher.

In addition to my performing work as a drummer and composer, I have been teaching drums to motivated students of different levels and ages for over 20 years. As a certified drum teacher (Amsterdam Conservatory), I have my own teaching practice in the Q-factory in Amsterdam East/Oostpoort: Drum Practice East. I gave lessons and workshops to students at the HKU, the Conservatory Amsterdam (pop and jazz departments), Conservatorium Utrecht, DSOP Amsterdam, Tiroler Landeskonservatorium Innsbruck and Musikhochschule Franz Liszt Weimar (D).

Styles: rock, pop, jazz, funk, hip hop, drum 'n' bass, electro, dub-step, reggae, punk, various Latin American styles, metal, crossover, Carnatic music, ambient, drone, improvisation.

– we work on improving timing, sound, interaction, dynamics, independence, stick and foot technique.

– we end the school year with a summer concert for parents and friends.

– learn to play on an electronic drum set and get to know all the benefits of e-drums
– the use of effects on acoustic or electric drums (such as loops, reverb, delays, distortion, harmonizers)
