Hello! I'm Cecilia, from Argentina. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in ENG-SPA translation, a teacher training course of Spanish as a Second Language and I'm currently doing my Master's in Teaching Spanish.

I've been teaching English since 2012 and in 2016 I created Casa de inglés George Temperley, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which in 2020 merged with Understanding Languages, my language academy in the Netherlands.

I work as a teacher for two other Cultural Centres in Amsterdam. In my free time I run a YouTube channel and create content for my language school.

My name is Denise I’m a Mexican Spanish as Foreign Language tutor (ELE Español Lengua Extranjera as acronym) certified by "Escuela Internacional Cervantes" with a Bachelor in Spanish Literature by the University of Nuevo León Mexico (UANL).

I started teaching and tutoring Spanish at a very young age helping my colleagues from High School achieve better scores and later I formalize this activity while finishing my university studies.
For the last seven years, I’ve been teaching Spanish in America and Europe to a broad variety of students: children/teenage tutoring, in-company adult students, online orientation and freelance translation for diverse projects.

I follow a flexible method adapting to the student’s level and personal goals.
During our classes the student will receive exercises, activities and extra resources as a plus for their class time.
My tools are diverse: textbooks, videos, podcast, newspapers, etc.

My name is Dani and I am Mexican. I always ask my students about their specific goals and their preferred way of learning a language. In my classes I like to take a conversational approach, but this depends entirely on the needs of my students. I use different books with different didactic material, mostly Aula Plus and Bitacora. I also try to practice all skills: talking, writing and listening. If the student wants it, I leave homework, which I correct during the week before the next lesson, so that we can make the most of the lesson time. I share a word or phrase of the week with my students to build a useful vocabulary. Teaching is my passion. I feel motivated by the progress of my students, which I believe also keeps them motivated. German and Spanish are my native languages and I speak fluent English, I also speak fluent Dutch (with a little accent). Therefore, I can explain concepts in all these languages. However, I prefer to speak Spanish as much as possible, also for the beginners lessons, because I believe that people learn the language better that way.

I have a FPELE certificate: Spanish as a Foreign Language Teacher Training. And I have taught A1 to B2 level at a language institute in Spain.

I am a certified Spanish teacher and an official DELE examiner at the Instituto Cervantes. I hold a Master's degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language and another in International Education and Bilingualism. I am also an IB teaching certified professional. I am currently a PhD candidate in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching.
