During the lessons for harp or piano you learn the necessary technique, and musicality is taken into account. The better the technical skill, the more fluidly the musicality can unfold. No previous knowledge of ear training is required for the instrument. Gradually you learn to read the notes. For those who wish, I give AMV (General Musical Education) Here you practice extra on reading, rhythm, general & specific hearing exercises, and theoretical knowledge. Those who are going to higher music studies and experience a gap in music theory can come to me for specific training. I also guide students for solfège who are taking their entrance exam for KMC and also during their student trajectory. Here is more explanation. The lessons are individual and adapted to each student. For toddlers aged 4 to 6 who are learning to play the piano, I follow a method based on a musical fairy tale. I contacted Caroline just 2 weeks before my ITNA-test appointment. I booked 20 hours (mostly in chunks of 120min) and she was wonderful and very patient (I tend to ask a lot of questions)! I fully believe these 2 weeks of intensive lessons were pivotal in passing the test (she has a lot of material). Not only that, but now I really just feel more comfortable using more complex sentence structures in my day-to-day. Caroline was a perfect fit for me and I would highly recommend giving her a try!
