I teach primary school children from Year 2 upwards in Maths, English and in preparation for SATs in Year 6.
My resources are all current and up to date and relevant in today’s National Curriculum specification.
I have full access to the topics to be covered in each year group in Maths and am happy to mirror and match that which is being completed termly at school as well as focusing on more challenging topics. Each lesson will begin with Arithmetic questions for fluency.
Reading comprehensions and grammar will be taught according to what is required for each year group and finally with a focus on spelling, punctuation and grammar practise papers as will be completed during SATs. I cover a variety of comprehension style questions that are inline with SATs and will cover all the skills required including word meaning, retrieval and inference questions across non fiction, fiction and poetry examples.

I have lived in London my whole life and speak English and conservational German. I have taught German across a primary school.
I am a qualified teacher with many many years of experience in primary schools and in the home as a tutor. I also ran a Kumon Centre for eight years which gave me an invaluable lesson in foundations of maths and English.
I have a firm but fun approach to learning and would hope to put your child at ease as they sit around my table or online.
It is my aim to provide your children with the best possible opportunity to do well in their chosen field of study whilst allowing them to ask as many questions as they deem necessary.

Booster Maths and English classes available days and times can be arranged to suit

Additionally, I provide Reading booster classes for KS1 and KS2 with a focus on comprehension skills including inference and predictions.

I assist with preparation for GCSE and A-level exams in French and Spanish, TOEFL and IELTS Academic or Life Skills tests, and I correct assignments at beginner and advanced levels. I offer academic support for children, including homework help, grammar, vocabulary, writing, composition, and conversation. The teaching methodology is tailored to each student's personality and needs.

I love the French language and pass this on to my students when I teach. Lots of speaking, listening to everyday conversations in various contexts, French songs, practising grammar and new vocabulary. Suitable for school children or adults.
English as a second language is another speciality of mine. I make my lessons interesting and fun. Speaking is the most important part but also writing notes as it is easier to remember afterwards. Listening to conversations and answering questions on them afterwards, while always checking grammar. I can guarantee fast progress.

May 2026: You will be prepared for public exams (A levels, English GCSE, American SATS, Common Entrance) in French, Spanish, Linguistics (English) and Latin (up to Common Entrance) to a high standard. For those not taking exams, you will be taught via grammar and reading, which assures quick progression. You are welcome to bring your own material to explore with the tutor or your school prep.
