About Me

Hi, I'm Marcos, a Brazilian musician and guitar teacher. I play a few different styles but I've been studying more Brazilian music and Jazz. I think it gives me a good basis to undesrtand music in general

I enjoy playing with the students and creating exercices that help then to overcome their difficulties. That's what I've been doing as a student. It's fun! And it's an organic way of learning music and developing one's musicality.

Education

I've 2 undergrad diplomes, one in language and literature and another one in jazz guitar, which I'm finishing here in Valencia. Before that I've took private clases with some of the best musicians of São Paulo/ Brazil

-I have done a 6-year program at the EMEA School Of Art in Toulouse, France. This includes one on one guitar lessons, music theory classes, singing classes, and live performances with the school’s Modern Music band.
-I did 2 years in the Hamilton High School Guitar ensemble.
- I completed a Jazz Improvisation class at the university of Chandler-Gilbert, AZ.
-I was the lead guitarist in an Arizona local band from 2015 to 2020.

I am an international polyinstrumentalist with a diploma in violin from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome.
I started playing the Piano and Violin at the age of 4 and I am an active performer throughout Europe, with 20 years of experience teaching this instrument. In addition, I have had the honor of being an official Violin Tutor of the educational sector of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, which further enriched my pedagogical background.

My advanced training in Jazz and electronic music complements my approach, allowing me to offer a diversified range of both acoustic and electric violin and my repertoire ranges from classical pieces to modern music.

I am pleased to present my violin classes, both acoustic and electric, specifically designed to address a wide range of musical styles and skill levels, from beginners to advanced players, offering a nurturing learning environment.

My methodology combines traditional elements, Russian influences and Suzuki method approaches, and I carefully adapt it to the individual needs of each student.

I am a pianist and piano teacher with more than thirty years of experience, with a higher degree from the Valencia Conservatory.

I studied at the Conservatory with the two professors Mario Monreal and Perfecto García Chornet, as well as with the pianist Margarita Roda and Patricio Pizarro, renowned pianist, disciple of Emeric Stefaniai, director of the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, Hungary, who bequeathed me a great knowledge of the Hungarian and Russian school, being very effective for middle and higher grade students.
