I am a teacher and tutor of Italian Language for Foreigners with a Master's degree in teaching Italian as a language for foreigners from the Ca' Foscari University of Venezia and the DITALS certification (Certificate of aptitude in didactics of Italian to foreigners) of the University for Foreigners of Siena (Italy). The course and my method of teaching the language are based on a communicative approach: the student will learn the language gradually by using it and communicating in a real language and not abstract. To achieve this goal, many activities will be offered using authentic teaching materials such as newspaper articles, pages from novels, movie scenes, song lyrics and many more.

Hello! Are you interested in learning Italian or English, or improving your fluency? You've come to the right place. I have officially been a teacher since 2018 and I'm currently working as a part-time English teacher at a public school in the centre of Brussels. I've created 60 lessons that can be applied to any level you may have in English, whether it be a complete beginner or a more proficient C1-C2 level. Public Speaking is key to be able to communicate and get your point across. Here we'll be talking, no matter the topic of discussion. Also you'll learn tips on how to be comfortable when speaking in public, by using simple words and specific body language. Writing is an art which can always be improved, even for the best writers in the world. We'll go back to basics in terms of grammar, conjugation and general writing rules to respect and become the best writer you can be. Reading out loud is all about how to tell a story so I'll be giving you valuable tips on narration and story-telling. Also, we'll work on how to read even faster.

For my classes, I am using multiple supports such as an English book, homemade exercices and my highschool textbook which I take the liberty to adapt depending on the student's level. I usually work by chapters, as I find it easier to move on throughout the lesson. I also appreciate the structured program to keep the mind clear and actually see the progress.

Hello everyone, I. My French / FLE course: I first seek to identify the needs of the student but also the requirements of his Professor if necessary, or requests related to a particular professional situation. It is from this inventory that I build my course. My teaching method aims for a clear understanding of the rules, (transmissive model) and instructions, and their constant recall. My explanations are always clear and structured and are ideally made with the words of the students, rather than with technical terms. Clear explanations, certain guidelines for orienting oneself in case of difficulties, taking a few notes, repetition - in a fun way if possible -, constant practice of exercises, recurring questions that I ask to check that the material is acquired, will ensure lasting success without cutting corners. Thus grammar, for example, becomes much less arid mental gymnastics than it seems. On the contrary!

For the past two decades, I've had the privilege of tutoring in both French and English. I offer you a German course that is not like the others. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you travel back and forth by train every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Memorise the timetable. 2) Realise that the train comes every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in textbooks and in normal lessons, the first approach is used - in the course I am offering you, it is the second approach because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both pupils and adults who want to learn the German language without time-consuming detours through the madness of fruitless school methods. Learning is easy, but unlearning things that have become bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, with my customised lessons you will greatly accelerate the learning process while having a positive attitude. I offer German lessons for individuals or groups (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive science and historical linguistics in particular. My modular programme can be adapted on a case-by-case basis. The converging point of these modules is your independence in spontaneous conversations in real life. What will not be covered in the course: learning lists of verbs; learning lists of nouns with articles; learning words with their translations; flashcards; doing school exercises; following the syllabus of a booklet; imposing the English grammar on the German language. What is particularly important to me: to motivate my student and to give him a learning rhythm; to encourage his creativity; to befriend him with the language; the letters and their sounds; to strengthen the memory by training the phonological loop; to teach blueprints instead of memorising sentences; to explain how the language works in order to make my student independent as quickly as possible; to eliminate common preconceptions, such as that 'der' would mean masculine and 'die' feminine, that the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, that verbs would be irregular, that declension would be random and therefore would have to be learnt with each verb...; to put practice at the centre and only deal with grammar where necessary. A first lesson will give you a sound idea of my pedagogy.

We will also work on editing and reviewing with feedback sessions built in to help consolidate the techniques introduced. I strongly believe that reading is the key to unlocking a whole world of knowledge and imagination. In my reading sessions, I will focus on developing essential skills such as phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocab. Through a variety of activities, including reading aloud, guided reading, discussion and analysis, I will help students improve their reading abilities, expand their literary horizons, and hopefully, foster a lifelong love for books.
