I am a qualified TEFL graduate from the TEFL Toulouse School. I have experience teaching language groups from beginner to advanced at all levels and ages. I have great rapport with all my students. I am conscientious, approachable, hard working and fun to work with. I am particularly interested in phonetics.

Having just moved to Toulouse from London, I’m still settling into life out here. I really enjoy hiking and skiing in the Pyrenees, going for long country walks, and I keep fit by running, doing fitness classes, and then I unwind to Yoga, Pilates and extreme stretching! I love going to music concerts and have a fantastic social and family life in Toulouse, London, Birmingham and Bristol and across the world.

From advertising BMW 6 series, to global charity campaign work, to helping starter companies and to producing sensitive government reports - my 11 years experience has provided solutions for a huge variety of brands. I started my design career in Bristol working for my university union and shortly after, I broke into the advertising industry. I have spent the last 7 years in London designing for property, construction, automotive, healthcare, consumer, technology and PR. I have worked on exclusive industrial events, conferences, specialist exhibitions and marketing literature which include advertisements, newsletters, presentations, corporate brochures and reports.

I have experience in working within mixed sized offices of 3 people, and in boutique agencies of 10-20 people and for a 1,600 strong international consultancy. I have co-managed Junior Designers and liaised with all levels of technical international staff and made firm relationships with external suppliers.

I consider myself as a confident communicator and am adaptable to any environment. My skills are process driven with accurate attention to detail, always ensuring a top quality outcome.

I was born in Norway, but my mother tongue is English thanks to my British father from London. I have good language skills to learn other languages, and I have a bachelor's degree in education and music. I am a trained teacher.

My method includes oral and written practice, depending on the level of the student and what he wants to learn. I really want the student to form his own sentences and try to write texts. I also have learning materials on which the student can work at home.

After giving courses in Journalism and Communication in English language for the last ten years I am now settled in Toulouse where I successfully taught English and German to children (7-12), youngsters and adults since 2018. I enjoy working with my students as a welcome change to spending time in front of my computer, working on my publications.
